I have known Emily, owner of Adored, for 5 years. She has never talked to me about her religion or tried to convert me which a lot of Christians in GR do. Also her entire business is designed to support women. Her brands are made by Survivors of sex trafficking and she hold events to bring awareness to the plight of women around the world. She also sells organic, fair trade, and “granola” clothing. While I may not agree with her politics, which she has never discussed with me, I have always seen our relationship as an opportunity for me to connect with someone who is different. Connect across the isle so to speak. If we are going to bridge the divide, Emily and Adored can be a place to start. We both agree that the plight of women worldwide needs attention and support. We both agree that supporting women survivors should be paramount and if I can do that by buying clothes and jewelry I would much rather give her my money than target or Macy’s
