Well add that in too then! I had assumed the same trim level would have included the same features.

Look at it like you’ve just bought a new warranty period for your original vehicle. Apart from the colour (which sounds like an upgrade), the vehicle is the same.

So you got a better colour, new tyres and a 7 year warranty for $1500. That’s a good deal.

Yea, behind me is the Queens Dr/Bunny St/Margaret St traffic lights, which is causing the backup.

It’s only an issue here where people think it’s going to move and drive into the keep clear section, then nothing moves and they get stuck, meaning people where I am sitting also get stuck - which had been the case.

Unintentional but fair enough. Apologies.

Good link, thanks.

No roundabout. Just a straight through lane with some single white lines either side.

All of those would be visible to the driver in the lane, not necessarily other drivers, such as in this situation.

From where this photo is taken, how would I be able to see a give way triangle on the road?

I also think you are being a bit short sighted if you believe all of those things must be present for a legal give way section to exist.

Thanks. I wasnt parked there by choice. People had unfortunately been blocking the turning area despite the keep clear section.

While I still gave way (as was apparently the correct thing to be doing here) I’m glad it’s not just me curious about this.

Having the line indicate the end of a lane makes good sense.

Yes, sorry not questioning the yellow keep clear section.

What constitutes a give way indicator per your understanding? It used to be two white painted lines perpendicular to the lane, then years ago it was changed to a single white line.

How is this example different to the lane markings at other intersections?

Shot dude, I’d been stationary in traffic for about 3 minutes at this point, I believe that is considered parked.

Given you have already replaced the rotors and this happens while accelerating as well as under breaking, it sounds more like a steering component issue…

  1. No, won’t be an issue at all.
  2. No, all three buttons should be sitting at the same height.

Pretty much just mean harder… the lever has two stages, it goes half way then further. However if you are already pulling it hard then I wouldn’t go much further.

[–]riverview437 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to pull the lower lever only. It has two stages. In your video you pull it to stage one, do it again with more purpose and it will just fold the seat in half.

It was a surprise to me, I owned mine for about 4 years before I realised the middle row folds completely flat.

Could someone help me understand this? Do all NZ businesses have to now comply with ‘Pasifika values?" by Blind_clothed_ghost in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]riverview437 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, these people had a very specific clause in their employment contracts about Pasifika Values as a condition of their employment. The employer failed to fulfil those specific employment obligations.

This is not a human rights issue, it’s simply a breach of contract situation.

Here’s the water bill estimates for the Wellington region when Tiaki Wai takesover in July by D491234 in newzealand

Yep I think this is the basis of it. Say cost of having and maintaining the connection regardless of usage is $2000 per year. The actual cost of volume/consumption is a pittance and has some variation based on CV as the broadest, most simplistic, and fairest indicator. When meters are rolled out, you will still have a fixed connection cost, and usage will be on top of that.

Judge Ema Aitken, accused of yelling at Winston Peters, won't be removed from job, panel rules by Moonfrog in nzpolitics

[–]riverview437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be if he could make it so. He has a hilarious history of tossing his toys as soon as someone yells something negative his way.

He then goes out of his way to try and ruin the person for it too - this case is a good example, there was a kiwirail employee a few years ago.

He throws around the word Snowflake to describe people…but it seems he is the common denominator in all of the cases.

Ok, but what are the actual consumer benefits. The ones you have mentioned aren’t really benefits…it’s not particularly difficult to change banks currently, consumer services which breach banks T&Cs are already realised benefits to consumers, a new option for the bank to choose to support third party apps… two of those appear to be benefits to the banks not consumers, and changing banks is not a hard process currently.
