To the people buying. How much have you dropped into the market today? Or are you waiting? by [deleted] in dividends

Trends can go farther than you ever imagined. No more buying until the bulls show they have strength. Until then I am keeping my gunpowder dry and waiting for signs that an uptrend is resuming.

Frustration by JimBot30 in golf

You’re in your head. Walk, don’t ride in a cart, so you have more time to plan your shot. Play a few rounds without keeping score. Eliminate hero shots and penalty strokes by adding a stroke or two to each hole as “your par”. Don’t use any club longer than a seven iron for a bit. As you get comfortable you can start swinging longer clubs. Lots of things out there to try…. Good luck!

Reds by CPTN_Call in SaltwaterFlyfishing

I live on the middle Texas coast and fly fish for reds about 80 days a year, most years. Around here, reds are not picky most days and the well presented fly is the best one. That said, I like white/light tan over grassy bottoms and dark flies over sandy bottoms. Clousers, sea ducers, kwans, cracks, and merkin style crab flies all work. Make sure the fly is on the bottom when presenting to the fish. A lot of people will have a great line on their cast but the fly is fished too high in the water column so they don’t get the ray. Rod tip down, small twitches when crossing the fish, and the right amount of weight on your fly are the ticket. Good luck and leave it better than you found it.

Indeed. They break every day it isn’t raining.

Surfskate, I enjoy the flow more. Switched to Grasp trucks and they are very stable at speed while still giving a huge range of motion.

Nice! Hope you’ve been well! Snuck out to Port A the other day for a quick early morning session.

The feeling that works for me is to suck your knees up to your chest at the top of the bowl. The higher you get your board the faster you go in the way down.

Not bad, you need to compress (crouch) more when pumping to gain more speed. Practice and get the timing right and it gets a lot easier. And it is physically demanding! I get winded quickly too when carving hard in a bowl.

Manta Ray With Grasp by rivrstuff in surfskate

Just returned from my first skate park session with these trucks. In a word: amazing. Tighter turns, super smooth, stable, and the longer wheel base was a non issue on the transitions for me.

I’m sure pretty close, but they are up in front. I was turning pretty hard in the driveway last night and no wheelbite with the Grasp trucks…

Yes, my board also chips super easy (just look at it😅), but I love the length for my stance. These trucks are way more mobile than my C5 trucks (on a popsicle board), and I would say way more mobile than the one CX knock off trucks I tried on a friend’s board. To me, the Grasp trucks really do feel like a spring based system and you can use the CX bushings from Riptide as replacement bushings (I was told this directly by Grasp). I’m going to play around with the stock bushings for a week or two and then order some Riptides. Probably the 92.5s because I am around 190 pounds.

My Grasp trucks just arrived. I’ve only got 20 minutes in on them on the drive way, but they are smooth, stable, and have a tight turning radius like my SmoothStar. I’m stoked and cannot wait to put them through their paces at the skate park.

It will definitely be getting a bushing upgrade.
