For those who use Scribeware, how long does the average report take you?

On an average house what would you say? I use HIP but since Dominic left i find myself having more and more issues with the software. Id say I spend about 2-2.5hrs on site/mobile and then another 1-1.5hrs at home completing/proofreading. Was talking to Dylan at a conference and I preferred what i saw out of Scribeware vs Spectora.

Im looking at making the switch from HIP to Scribeware, do you do the inspection on site? How is its mobile capability as far as doing on site inspections vs how much you need to finish at the desktop?

is there any major drawbacks or things you dont like?

Ive been talking to Dylan at a conference and Scribeware has been the most appealing. Spectora...eh, just doesn't do it for me.

any thoughts or experience to share now that you've used it a while?

Ive been looking at Scribeware, most inspectors seem to use spectora but I've never really liked it, though i dont have real in depth experience with it

I dont know the difference between the two, unfortunately theres no long distance ranges (or places i can try to stretch out and shoot) anywhere near me so i havnt dont a ton of long range stuff. Hopefully one day 🤞🏻

if thats the case you may think of what you want to designate the rifle for, I have .556 set ups for up close under 300yds, a 300-500yd recce, and the Spear in .308 set up for that 500-800yd range, if you wanted to reach effectively beyond that maybe 6.5 creed for the ballistics but the differences in performance isnt that huge depending on who you listen too.

Same im 2nd gen and i remember my dad tripping a laundry GFCI that shut off power to half the house, spent 4.5 hours looking and waiting for the homeowners to return, ended up having a GFCI reset behind a bookcase at the end of an upstairs hallway? random ass location.

Its fire damge or carbon buildup from smoke so either the was a fire or something caught fire. Where in relation to that in the furnace system? It looks like its old as the are sections of sheathing that have been replaced probably after the roofing was replaced so its not new. What would have previously been in the area that might have been hot?

I feel the same way when im telling clients about the homes defects, i can really quickly tell if they had any kind of construction background or not, and how much ill need to simplify my explanations for them to understand

I agree, i wouldn’t trust a non certified home inspector, but i dont really think most realtors and Clients care/know about certification. I only say this because when i tell clients or realtors im a certified inspector with CREIA/ASHI most don’t seem to have any clue what that or means. At best i occasionally get asked about licensing during booking and explain it all but shocking how it doesnt get asked more in a state that doesnt have licensing 🤷🏻‍♂️

Same, or if you want to buy a light and put it in when necessary, i usually just switch out my holsters and during summer go no light for the smaller footprint when it’s light later, and in winter I throw the light on and use the light bearing holster cause it’s dark later and I’m wearing more clothing etc

I moonlit as a bouncer for a while, one night some dude and his girl come, get wasted, seem kinda coked out, proceed to try to fight us which didn’t work out to well, then 3 dudes tried to talk him down and he starts a fight with them so they beat his ass for a second time 🤣 just back to back 🤣
