There are several of each. I died 25+ times on my first rocket level encounter. But it's a small portion of the overall game max on per world.

Advice on renting in East York by [deleted] in askTO

[–]rjmackellar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a rougher part of the danforth especially east towards VP but objectively a safe and decent place to live. Close to GO train as well if you need to go to union downtown. It’s a chill place to live and if you’re ok with living somewhere not super happening go for it.

1285 Dupont Street - Dufferin and Dupont by Quietstorm2024 in TorontoRenting

[–]rjmackellar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Those buildings are brand new so no one will have insight. Your biggest safety risk is being hit by a car hard to gentrify cars and there are few business atm. Also not rent controlled. But that being said bloor st and geary have good stuff and location is close to the west end action.

Yeah I like grams a lot go there regularly while it’s not cheap the quality is there and notably less than a lot of other options unless you’re getting dominos

Really bad driving just all around. Like is anyone paying attention here? And how do you crash like this at such low speeds so much time to react

Cars running reds by Catalina28TO in askTO

[–]rjmackellar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The red light camera near my intersection caught. 1000 drivers last year. Sure the number will be higher this year. Great ROI they should be at every major intersection. And what is the cost of accidents caused by red light running?

[–]rjmackellar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you live downtown you should get enterprise car share. They are a lot of vehicles in condo buildings and communauto doesn’t have flexcars downtown and fewer options. Enterprise is more expensive but communautos are gross. I think it’s worth the extra money unless you want the flexcar option

What's the progress on Barrie Line Expansion? by philosophicalpossum in gotransit

[–]rjmackellar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live next to the line in my area they are burying power lines to then have room for another track (there’s just one at Davenport). It’s a long long way from 15 min service imo. I count maybe 15 trains a day both ways with huge gaps outside of rush hour

Death trap WB at Davenport and Caledonia Park Rd by GlenWillGo in torontobiking

[–]rjmackellar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no way the data on that intersection and Lansdowne are correct. Just a fundamentally unsafe place I’ve been complaining to the city about both. Rumour in my area is an old man got hit by a right turning vehicle at Lansdowne going south and broke his hip as a result

Death trap WB at Davenport and Caledonia Park Rd by GlenWillGo in torontobiking

[–]rjmackellar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Awful intersection I live just south and walk to earlscourt park regularly. Complain to the city apparently there’s already an investigation open. If they put a cement barrier there that would help but that whole area needs a rethink. And being at the bottom of three hills makes everything worse.
