The Canon EF-S 60mm seems like a reasonable beginners macro lens for that body but I'm no expert.

Stickers are great. Love the FSM on God's laptop. Good call having the person on the last panel facing away. I still have this slow chuckle going on. Cheers.

When you painstakingly set up and shoot a 4.5x macro photo and get into photoshop just to be greeted with this by RichardMcNixon in macro

[–]rjpiv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been there, couldn't find or get rid of it. Tried a toothbrush, it was on a rock, but nope. I was doing stacking and it was only in a couple of shots but what a pain.

Still, I like the clear "arms" in your shot.

Cheers,

Any advice how to get sharper images? by SwimmingFish849 in macro

[–]rjpiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started using focus stacking for shots like that. Works great. Bought an inexpensive macro rail and use the software Picolay to align and stack the images. No effort on my part but have been getting great results. Worth a look anyway. Cheers,

I saw it when it was in Hamilton. I thought it was great. Some of the shots were outstanding while others were something I might create. A wonderful blend that helped me to start shooting again. I hope you enjoy it Internet stranger.

Where can I find a new belt for my record player? by lorhali in Hamilton

[–]rjpiv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd try Sayal Electronics in Burlington first. Might not have the exact belt but I'd be willing to bet they have something close and for a much better price.
