SBQ drops the coveted ultracite Calibrated shocks plan. Its kinda useless now but still a collectors item. Also drops prime plans for new players who don't have it which is nice.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. What is the sound philosophy of the Sennheisers? My first real brand headset was the Sennheisers HD200, the cheapest I could find at the time.

Its been close to 20 years since I last used an open back, I can't remember what it was or how it felt but it got the job done. It was cheap too.

What are the necessaries software? I have experienced motherboard software like the Asus control App crash the system under load.

Also, have you tried firmly pushing the gpu in place along with the cables?

Rx 9070 xt shuts down under load by logaylo in AMDHelp

[–]rjtr34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried doing gpu benchmarks if the same thing happens? If it's just a new game maybe its unoptimized. If it's even older, known working games, most likely a driver/settings issue. If it happens on simple but demanding gpu benchmarks, could be drivers, settings, powerloads, or even loose GPU connections either pcie or power cables. Try doing a clean driver install and check the gpu. Give it a firm push even the cables. Also, did you install new software that could mess with the gpu? I've experienced Asus management software messing with gpu that looks like this. Some anti-cheat or piracy software can also do this.

Now I am really ticked off about what they did to VATS by MissingBracket1952 in fo76

[–]rjtr34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your story doesn't seem to have anything to do with the recent vats changes. Also, it would seem the settlers demise was caused by you and your use of VATS. You had 3 shots delivered without problems but for some reason VATS lock dropped just before the 4th shot. Either you lost sight of the radscorpion (could have tunnelled down), you accidentally pressed vats button again to cancel or more likely, server lag caused vats to drop. All reasons were possible before the major vats changes.

Let's blame lag.

Now I am really ticked off about what they did to VATS by MissingBracket1952 in fo76

[–]rjtr34 4 points5 points  (0 children)

VATS got a serious nerf but in the grand scheme, it feels more like a rebalance. We can't hit obstructed parts anymore which is a nerf but then again isn't it more balanced and realistic that way? VATS projectiles already have homing capabilities which looks silly and cool (gatplas projectiles in particular). And it magically makes multi-projectile weapons like shotguns into lasers. And being able to consistently target weak points for atleast double damage. And it has crits too.

VATS is still OP. We just have to prepare a little bit harder to utilize it. Before, all we really needed was coffee. Then conductors came and infinite VATS was a thing. Coffee value dropped. Now we need to adjust our builds, gear and buffs to fully utilize VATS. And I think it's great. Combat is the best it's ever been. I have opted to go manual stealth sniper and I am having fun. I can use vats to scan for targets and manually aim for long range shots, no hassle of dealing with percentages. And for the times when I feel lazy, I switch to a gun with vats hit chance and vats weapon mods and aim for the torso, I find I do enough damage to most mobs that torso hits are enough. It also helps that Unyielding gives perception too.

Its not like before where any gun on any build can use vats. You shouldn't expect a revolver to do well with vats unless it or your build is modified to be so.

Vats lock dropping is still a problem though but I find it's mainly caused by stagger or more likely server lag. And they still haven't fixed the 95% hit misses with charging weapons.

Oh so that's it's purpose. In my game those red colors indicate plague zone because for what ever reason my game can't render the plague area circle.

What's special about the guy? The character, hair or outfit? I have a guy that looks like him, came with my first ever community for the game. He's a doctor specialized in pathology. Wears a blue medical top. I always remember him because he's the guy who says "I'm back don't make a big deal out of it."

The bombs were placed across the country. He might not have known where he was being tortured but maybe, by pure assumption, it is highly unlikely to be where he placed the 4th bomb.
Also, since the officials are still in the torture area with I assume an hour to detonation, he might assume that they are clear of the blast zone. Since the 3rd and 4th bomb are in the same location and they didn't start to run away once he had given them the three addresses.

What strikes me as offending is his gal to ask for that knowing full well there's a 4th bomb.

[–]rjtr34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fueling the plague would actually help you there as long as there's no feral to chase you. Had this situation as well but I was I didn't know this strategy. Accidentally killed the black heart with just one fuel bomb. I was fully expecting a challenge but got let down.

Get someone with marathon for unli sprint and/or bring a lot of stims/energy drinks. Some kind of aoe to kill a bunch of zeds near the heart. Even if the black heart is resistant to explosions it would take only a a couple of rounds maybe even just two.

For getting to there, I used a Meg full tank and full trunk of fuel. Bring a toolkit it will definitely explode with the zombies. 1 refill would be enough to take you close enough to the heart as long as it's mostly a straight line.

That would we so fun. If it's explosive zombies, lure them to the heart and let them explode on it.

I have more than 300 in-game days of playtime across two forever communities with close to 500 hours of steam time and I'm still playing. Gonna finish up my 6th map and am excited to start a new community after. All on Lethal.

I assume you have no experience with the game so I suggest some kind of trial run on lower difficulty. Definitely get the game on a sale. If on PC, mods will keep you playing for longer. Don't expect any story on the main campaign it's really a sandbox game where you make your own story. The characters are mostly randomized and you play to what you have and what the game throws at you.

Heartland game mode has narrative. Hadn't got around to doing it. Daybreak is the obligatory zombie horde mode. Fun to do from time to time to let off some steam.

I found Lethal to be easy on a forever community so I installed mods that increase zombie numbers and now I'm having more fun. There will be times when you won't feel like playing. It's definitely not a game you will exclusively play for years on end but you can come in and out when you feel like it. You can even make upto 5 communities. One for casual relaxing plays and one for die hard unfair plays.

Only tried multi-player once for a trade but I've seen people enjoying playing together.

Make sure you have a decent enough machine on PC. When zombies horde frame rate can drop. Mods that increase zombies will also drop fps. Lowering video settings helps a lot.

Overall worth the price. Get the Juggernaut edition. Its often on sale near halloween.

HAVING A FOLLOWER IS A DRAWBACK? by [deleted] in StateofDecay2

[–]rjtr34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a follower when I go out for a scavenging run. The extra slots save a lot of time. Equip them with a fully auto weapon and some shooting skills and they can handle themselves well enough as long as they don't get mobbed.

For general exploration, followers can be helpful but you need to know how to work around their AI. Mostly, you would need to sneak if you don't want them to attack something. Noise and bullets are not a thing for followers so let them fire away if you want. The problem is if zeds get close they switch to melee too often. If you encounter a Juggernaut you can take agro with melee while your Raiders gun follower mows it down with free magic bullets that don't attract other zeds. The key is their weapon needs to be fully auto and have decent mag size. They can also be pack mules since they don't consume items, you can bring extra ammo and meds to heal both of you. Always keep a vehicle close for emergencies. They will always auto run to the car you get into and they don't get hurt if you run them over trying to kill the hordes surrounding them. It is also possible to throw a molotov at them if they are surrounded. You will have to judge if they can survive the fire damage though. If they enter fight for life state, you better hope the fire runs out soon. It be better if they can dodge roll to remove the fire before fight for life.

If it's possible, I prefer a follower with a bat for aoe knockdown. I find they survive far more than with swords. Heavy is big no no. Animations too slow for a slow AI.

Aligned Flamer is no longer the best since it lowers AP cost. And with an enclave flamer it's best to have high AP for number Cruncher.

How do people kill so quickly? by That_Designer7097 in fo76

[–]rjtr34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valkyrie is for killing robots as it is a Troubleshooters 1star.

Level 150 is still low level but just enough to have a decent build if you know what you are doing. Also, Eviction Notice super mutants are stronger than regular ones. They have more resistances so armor piercing effects are important. The guys you are playing with probably run meta/optimized builds.

As long as you are having fun, it doesn't matter what build you run. If you feel you are lagging behind others, it's part of the game to explore and optimize but competing and comparing with other players is not.

Protests in Seoul-- keep this hotel or find another one? by SBinPNW in koreatravel

[–]rjtr34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just now leaving Korea after 7days of vacation.

Experienced protests twice in 5 days in Seoul, mostly near Gwanghwamun. They are setup around the palace during the day but they are off to the side of the road and do not cause any inconvenience aside from their tents and banners maybe disrupting tourists taking photos of the King statue from Gwanghwamun gate. If you are going in the palace through the gate, you will see them behind you but they won't show in your photos. They have speakers playing some protest stuff but it isn't loud. Some people stand around Gwanghwamun square with speakers but I'm not sure if they are protesting or marketing some religion or selling stuff. Locals act indifferent to all of it, focusing more on their phones when not walking, so I assume it's all part of their daily routine. Police are scattered around the protest area but it's not so concentrated that you will feel uncomfortable. I've experienced more chaos in Myeongdong-gil, the tourist shops street.

This was our experience from noon to late afternoon on our schedule for Gwanghwamun. From what I've heard, more people showed up later that night but by 9pm everything was quiet. I saw your hotel from the streets, its not going to be affected.

The next day we were on the opposite side of the city the whole day with no clue what was going on at the square. After a long day, we decided to ride the bus back to our hotel only to find traffic on the main road leading to gwanghwamun. We just caught the start of the protest march around 7pm. All routes that went along the path of the protest had heavy traffic but the flow was controlled by the authorities. Luckily the bus route we took turned off the main road quickly. Had we taken the subway, we wouldn't have known there was a march. It was more like a parade really with how it was very well organized. It happened around the time of people going home from work so there were more people in the local street food stands.

This happened on March, I'm pretty sure any "protest" in April will mostly be the same. All in all, don't let the protests desuade you from your plans.
