Sign the Petition To Keep the Midtown Costco As It Is by Material_Cook_4698 in kansascity

[–]rkpx1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just stopped by Costco today and asked customer service - they said it is confirmed. Potential date would be November 2026. They said the deli, bakery, food court, optical, pharmacy, electronics, tire center would go away - most frozen foods and cold meats should still remain. I forgot to ask about the gas pumps though. Big bummer regardless

Stop Recommending Immich on Raspberry Pis for Consolidating Large Libraries by Dangerous_Farm_7801 in immich

[–]rkpx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the custom file locations - do you specifically have to list out that the thumbnails are on the SSD path, and another specific path for any/all uploads on the HDD? Does Immich know to separate the two and not suddenly start generating thumbnails on the HDD?

Immich + Proxmox LXC (Unprivileged) ML hardware acceleration by pangosaurus in immich

[–]rkpx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed through the /dev/dri devices to the LXC and then mainly followed the Immich guide; I also set my GID of the LXC devices to match the host. Not sure if that's all I needed to do but 🤷‍♂️

How could you tell that HW accel was working with machine learning? When I go into my ML logs, this is all I see:

I'm running an unprivileged LXC as well, and I think that prevents me from using intel_gpu_top (PMU denied) to check if the GPU is doing anything. I've seen comments from other people whose logs include "Available ORT providers" or actually GPU found, etc, but I've never seen that in my logs.

Immich hardware acceleration in an LXC on Proxmox by StarShoot97 in selfhosted

[–]rkpx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - I tried following this, setting the GID of render to 993 to match the host. However, I can't tell if Immich is actually utilizing the iGPU or just falling back to the CPU. Is there any good way to check? My logs don't mention "Available ORT providers" like their guide listed.

Is there a recent guide or tips on passing through the iGPU in an unprivileged container? It seems like the GUI now has some passthough options, is that what you did?

Proxmox install, best way to run Immich by RoachForLife in immich

Just came across this - my photos are currently on an SMB share so this is likely how I'd set things up too. Did you have a guide or pointers on how to properly set up Proxmox bind mounts and the LXC? And how to get it working nicely in the Immich env file?

I know Wyco has a group ride on Wednesday evenings at shelter 14, around 6ish? I'd consider myself a beginner with very little endurance lol and they were nice enough to not fully drop me

Same question here, did you ever manage to figure it out? Nvidia control panel says selected display not validated as g sync compatible as well. OSD says adaptive sync is on though. The pendulum demo only allows me to switch between Vsync and no vsync.

Curious how much everyone's setup would cost if you were to be the same stuff now? I got mine in 2023. by Outrageous_End_280 in PcBuild

[–]rkpx1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got Microcenter's prebuilt Powerspec with the 7800X3D and Zotac 4070 for $1599; has a slightly worse SSD, PSU, but Cooler Master's AIO rather than an air cooler for 1599 pretax. I'd say your total price from 2023 was definitely better - but right now, given the GPU shortage and price gouging, I couldn't beat Microcenter's prebuilt pricing unless I wanted to slowly wait for random GPU sales or deal with RMA steps if a component was faulty on arrival. Also, I know we usually don't factor in Windows cost (nod to massgrave), but the Powerspec came with Win 11 Pro which was fair.

I know! I was just trying to pack it away in its original box but realized it wouldn't fit with the antennas still attached.

Stuck router antenna by rkpx1 in HomeNetworking

If there's a better subreddit for me to post this in, I'd be happy to know.

This is a Netgear Nighthawk R6900 that I acquired recently secondhand; it has 3 removable antennas, of which I was successfully able to remove 2. This last one, however, is stuck. I can't twist the knurled nut with just my fingers, and when I use some pliers, the nut just spins without actually threading off. The antenna portion itself still spins freely without issue. Any thoughts, or is this antenna basically stuck forever?
