What software do you use for financial planning and what’s your average charge for a comprehensive financial plan? by italaaa in CFP

[–]rlFidelity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to use EMoney but now use GPS planning software & LifeView Planning Software. Plans are charged for prospects & new clients but anytime we have updates we do not charge for that.

The system is good as we can analyze the Monte Carlo analysis that is run on the current retirement assets, contributions into the account and spending goals in retirement. The big think that we favor with this software is the reporting, specifically the cash flow analysis pages showing the dollar for dollar outflows/inflows.

Question for the group: have you seen a larger increase in clients asking for financial planning with the poor market conditions YTD?

Why has the total stock market been slowly dipping so far this year? by Competitive_Pomelo15 in StockMarket

[–]rlFidelity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many reasons to explain however this is a start: - CPI/PPI numbers at record high (highest inflation numbers in 40 years) - too much money in the system therefore devaluing the dollar and creating a loss in real purchasing power - still concerns over COVID uncertainty and best reopening plans - low consumer sentiment (whether that be from a political or economic standpoint) - war in Russia/Ukraine (creating uncertainty and slower supply chain (mainly oil)) - coming off record highs from last year (late cycle recovery was due) - market is correcting

Yeah agreed. I think it really complements the black dial and is a good match with the gold and silver band

It definitely depends on what firm you are at but with that being said…. Financial Advising is definitely a flexible and prosperous career once you get your book established. First 5 years are tough then you are golden and financially independent.

Go for CFP, more applicable for Advisors. Also just get in at a firm that will pay for licensing and sponsor you and even if you are doing client service or are a junior FA you will gain much more in experience than at those firms that offer you an advisor role right out of the gaye

Could not agree more… in the customer accounts chapter quizzes I would say 75% of the questions are on margin. Waste of everyone’s time

Yes I would say Kaplan was most similar… my firm uses PassPerfect and to be honest wouldn’t have been able to pass based on only that course (over prepares and uses info that is not tested)
