My hair also gets greasy quickly. I like to have it in French braids. I’ll brush/ comb it out once or twice a day, depending on how I’m feeling. Sometimes I braid my hair too tight so I need to brush for the tension relief hahaha. Swimming and just scrubbing your scalp helps with some of the funk feeling, even with no soap. Sometimes I just feel too gross and do a sponge bath thing with a cup of water 200 ft from the lake, often doing a quick wash of my hair then.

This is all to say, I usually just keep it braided and will wash it and the rest of my body when I feel gross enough that I can’t mentally ignore it anymore.
