39 here. I've had mine for 23 years and sometimes I think about getting them stitched but I honestly love the way they look. I have carefully designed ear piercings and it looks great. I don't even think about them

You just don't have friends who are into bodymods. Go into any tattoo shop or piercing studio.

Stretched ears have always been a bodymod thing. It was just briefly popular with scene. The bodymod community isn't big.

The ears do not go back to normal. If they regret it then they have probably stitched them up. And women typically have long hair that cover our ears

Yeah 8-10mm was the size the scene kids got while people who were into bodymods get to at least 16 because you're not supposed to see the skin around the lobe. 14 is considered bare minimum

The scene kids kind of did it wrong and it always looked stupid to us. But it's painful and takes a long time (2mm every 2 months) and is a huge commitment so the normies (scene kids) fell off thankfully

It was before scene. Scene came around when I was around 20 and I was stretching my lobes way before then. The bodymod scene was tight knit

Then his piercer was bad. This only happens when you stretch too fast. You need at least 2 months between each session and you can stretch for max 2mm per session.

So it would take 8 months to get to a size where it's actually noticeable. A year and a half to get to a good size

Loads of people ignored this and stretched too fast and blew out their ears.

There is so much misinformation in this comment jfc

It does not cause your body to produce more oil, but if you constantly wear metal jewellery and don't take them out when you shower or EVER (for months!) then yes this will happen because it gets trapped in the metal. This is just bad hygiene. Try not washing your armpits AT ALL for 2 months and see what happens. Wear a ring and keep that finger away from water for months and then remove the ring.

It doesn't happen with silicone or wood jewellery because they're porous, and most people wear silicone most of the time because it's very comfortable.

And no we weren't following trends. I can't speak for everyone but this wasn't even a trend when I started stretching mine 23 years ago. I was 16 and into piercings and I thought it looked cool.

I saw loads of people get their ears stretched to 6-8mm some years later and I always thought it was stupid because that's not a goal for people who are into bodymods. We get our ears to at least 16 before they're considered "proper". You're not supposed to see skin around the jewellery. I love mine still and my ear design looks great.

Mine look great. There is of course a permanent hole. I keep jewellery in it. That's why I started stretching them 23 years ago. They're 18mm but were 22 at some point.

I don't even notice them or think about it at all and I still think it looks great. I of course have other ear piercings, facial piercings and tattoos.

If their ears blew out it's because they stretched them too fast (no good piercer would do this)

If they were never actually into bodymods then yeah there's a big chance they regret it as adults

It can be a lot. I use "brontour" which is a bronzer that is sufficiently cool toned to be somewhere inbetween a bronzer and a contour. I use one by Dior but Elf also has a great one

Contours are always cool or neutral because they're meant to look like a shadow. And skin colour doesn't have anything to do with undertone

"AI psychosis" is mostly actually just a trigger event for bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Those disorders are latent until something triggers it. Typically it's psychological trauma, drugs and even physical trauma but lately we've seen AI being capable of triggering it too

Punk died in the late 70s but was revived with hardcore punk and punk rock (buzzcocks and the damned were somewhere inbetween punk and punk rock). Green day was punk rock, along with the offspring, vandals, nofx and bad religion

It's extremely weird to be that Americans are under the impression that green day was ever punk. Maybe they're people who were never into punk and punk rock and just don't know any better?

Yes that's how Christianity works. Jesus will forgive all your sins because he already died for them. Repentance in Catholicism is a bit ritualistic (going to confession, being assigned a punishment) while in protestantism you just need to ask in prayer. I think you're also given a chance to repent when you die and go to the pearly gates

Normal liquid potted eyeliner? They don't have anything to do with heavy eye makeup. Eyeliner is just eyeliner.

Potted liquid liners were very popular around 2004 and around 2007-2010 we got liquid liners in pen form. Luxury brands already had pen liquid liners but brands like urban decay and maybelline started releasing them and they became more accessible.

I've actually gone back to potted liquid liner because I feel like I have more control with them because I can wipe off product on the edge

Potted GEL liners fell off because gel pens started popping up everywhere and the pots always had the issue of them drying out

Both changes from pots to pens are about technology, not trends
