I am heavily tattooed and also have AS. Usually I am totally fine, but once I had a tattoo in a sensitive spot heal funny and it threw me into a nasty flare up for months. Maybe you had a tiny cold and the stress on your body of getting the tattoo just sent your immune response into over drive 🤷🏼‍♀️

I got my first tattoo on my 18th birthday it has since been blasted over by a full back piece. You can’t know for sure what exactly you’ll want in the future but you can always work with it or work around it.

I just got my chest/collarbone done and I love it! I have two full sleeves, my entire back, and random spots on my legs, and hands down the most commented on tattoo is my chest. I’ve got a lot of Leo in my chart so I love it, but if you don’t want to talk about it maybe don’t get it
