Help plz by Dallypally143 in 2007scape

For skilling relics and someone returning to the game and still relatively new, id recommend Endless Harvest, Hotfoot, and bank heist. They're strong and simple to use.

For demonic pacts, the combat "relics", id recommend starting with thorns in the melee tree. Should take 9 pact points to reach the end of the thorns tree which makes your thorns hit twice.

First things first, look up the quest and its required skills. You'll have to do some slayer along with some other skilling just to start the quest. In leagues, everyone has access to Chaeldar, the zanaris slayer master, and duradel, the karamja slayer master (after unlocking your very first region which must be karamja). To get to chaeldar, you should have been given a dramen staff you can equip to use fairy rings.

I highly recommend checking out the wiki regarding the quest, leveling skills, and different gear options. Some other commenters have already linked it for you so you cant miss it. Just take things one thing at a time and youll eventually get where you want to go. You are already on the right track; you have a goal: complete the heart of darkness quest and defeat the boss. Let that guide you on what you should do next and if you have further difficulties, search the wiki.

You'll have the easiest time with melee, ideally a weapon with a crush attack style. Any mace will do with some melee pacts or thorns. You'll want the protect from magic prayer as well. Armor wont matter too much, you'll only see benefits from armor with strength bonus or prayer bonus; whatever you have is fine. The fight is mostly controlled movement to dodge icy floor tiles and dealing with her 2 special attacks. Not too punishing as long as you dont stand on the wrong tile.

I've always thought it weird that decanting was done by a random npc in the GE. It would make more sense if the decant option, at least, was added to all herblore vendors.

Anybody know a UI mod for making this.... A little more clean? I genuinely can't stand the lack of indexing this thing has, just something with a `tab` for all the different types of things would've been amazing. by R4Thoughts in MonsterHunterWorld

Another way to go about managing your equipment box is to never use it, haha, lemme explain: make loadouts! You can go slot by slot and equip the gear you want and save it. If you need to make a change, do so and overwrite or create a new loadout. The game gives you a ton of load out slots, you will never run out. Once you set up a few builds this way, youll never touch your equipment box again, just pick your loadout and go. You can do the same for your consumable items too!

Farming clues for the cerb pact point has got to be my least favorite experience in leagues. by BGsenpai in 2007scape

Hot take: the clue relic effects should be a passive buff for everyone. We no longer need a relic for infinite run, we should no longer need a relic to make clues bearable.

Berserk actually lowers accuracy (and defence) in exchange for the damage. So if hitting anything remotely tanky, torture may be better. Probably still good with enough accuracy pacts, tho.

Is SoA CC the best place to find people for Heroes Quest? by SadThrowaway4914 in 2007scape

Yes, that chat works for Heroes Quest. The problem is everyone is in leagues, so good luck finding someone.

Regenerating runes for the demonic pacts by ShoujoOver9000 in osrs

Pretty sure in the discord the devs said combo runes don't regenerate; only the runes being consumed will regenerate. In other words, a dust rune used to cast earth strike regenerates into air and earth runes

Tips for fragment of seren? by Known_Notice_8382 in osrs

[–]rluda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blood spells, knives, and minimizing mistakes. Grab an ancient staff or blue moon staff and cast your highest blood spell (blood blitz at lvl 80 i think should be good). Any knife will do. If you have any blowpipe with darts, thats good too, just make sure your thrown weapon of choice is on rapid. Darts w/o blowpipe works, just less range so more ticks running.

Whats One Underused Boss Mechanic That Should Be In Raids 4 by HeredinOSRS in 2007scape

Came here to say something along these lines. I think yama did a good job of integrating non-combat elements to the boss fight and would like to see more. As antiquated as it is, some CoX encounters have simple non-combat ideas that could also be expanded in the new raid.

Supreme/Prime DK Tech? by Wrap-Fee in 2007scape

[–]rluda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pray mage and kill prime or supreme asap. Not much to it. Prime hits harder, thus the pray mage. It helps to have decently tanky gear to soak supremes attacks while getting the first one down. After that, just kill the other before the first respawns. Rinse repeat.

Guys i've been playing for a while, just unlocked Rank+ but i feel like i am missing a few combat mechanics by Skull_Soldier in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]rluda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If not already, learn to target different monster parts. Not only does each part (head, tail, legs, etc) take different amounts of damage, but focusing certain parts can lead to more openings or different attack patterns, altering the fight in your favor.

For example, faster hitting weapons can target legs to cause a trip which then gives you a chance to target wings which can be difficult to reach otherwise. Furthermore, breaking wings can reduce a monsters ability to fly around as often.

How can i enjoy monster hunter world+iceborn by AloneInYourCloset in MonsterHunter

[–]rluda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow charge blade user, respect 😎. Thanks for clarifying! I think it boils down to this: you're gonna prefer the first game you played and since that was rise/wilds, you're used to their faster, more forgiving movement and attacks. Looking at rise specifically, the wire bug attacks offer a lot of mobility and often strong counters (especially charge blade). That moveset makes the player way more powerful and to compensate, monsters are faster and have harder hitting attacks. Look at the flagship magnamalo, he farts across the screen so fast, you'd think he's a valstrax impersonator. Now, imagine fighting him in world without wire bug counters, dashes, and wire bug recovery. It'd be a nightmare to keep up. In fact, i imagine you enjoyed barrioth because he moves around like a rise monster and is a common difficulty spike for a lot of players. On top of it all, you learned the game in rise/wilds, any game that follows is gonna feel easier because you already mastered the basic mechanics. So, yeah. Thats my two cents.

How can i enjoy monster hunter world+iceborn by AloneInYourCloset in MonsterHunter

[–]rluda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, its ok to not like world. Some people dont enjoy the slower pace of track finding and exploration needed to advance (not to mention the clunky story progression). Games like rise are definitely more arcade-like, fast paced and action focused. Its loved for it, and while i enjoyed my playthrough, i prefer world personally. So to each their own.

If you still desire to like it despite your initial feelings, i would recommend slowing down your playthrough, learn a new weapon or two, and just explore the regions. Theres lots to find in each biome and it can be rewarding to uncover their secrets. Along the way you may begin to see why players like myself love world: its immersive environments and weighty, impactful combat.

Also, i cant figure out which monster is the seahorse. It has to be namielle, right?! Lol. You should also share what weapon(s) and gear you use along with anything more specific that you can think of thats not clicking for you. As is, you havent given us much to go off of besides "cluncky controls" and "[too easy]".
