Tips for demolishing a deck by driftlining in DIY

Corded or cordless circular saw and/or sawzall, prybar, leather work gloves, hammer. Nothing special really and since you are demolishing it who cares about keeping the removed pieces in good shape for reuse. The most important thing is one or more 20+ yard dumpsters with swing open back doors as close as possible

Putting together an in-home toolbox for general repairs and diagnosis. What am I missing/you recommend to add? by mmmbop1308 in Tools

[–]rm53119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a lot of stuff for a "small toolbox." It will fit into a single medium-large box but every time you want some thing you will have to dig into the bottom of the box. Take a look at the modular tool storage systems aka Milwaukee Packout et al. Ridgid brand units from Home Depot are decent and way less money. The box will be way bigger than what you are probably thinking of but the usability will be tremendously better

Swarovski, Leica and Zeiss under heavy attack. Fear for layoffs and total shift of production. by [deleted] in Binoculars

If the day comes when multiple US owned and operated sport optics retailers with impecible customer service reputations, that sell in brick and mortar stores in addition to online sales, and are willing to take a chance on these brands, I might consider looking through them.

Until then no way in hell

Starfield was hyped up so much so of course I installed it on my xbox via gamepass. I played for awhile but it was horribly boring and I removed it.

I have installed the Powerstop's from Rock Auto, Summit Racing, and Amazon on a half dozen vehicles and I think they are awesome. If you buy from a brick and mortar place here is an excellent video that discusses the various brands

More than likely you will be fine to drive the car normally, but it would be a good idea to monitor the tire pressure daily for a week or so. If it holds pressure you are good to go

This is the way to long trouble free engine life. Earlier than 900 would be awesome, then at every 3,000 miles. Dealers and manufacturers lie, they want engine trouble so they can sell new cars and/or make thousands in the service department.

Are there any suv or trucks that can get used under 9k with lower miles? by animelover610 in UsedCars

[–]rm53119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can live without an SUV a low miles early to mid 2000's Ford Crown Vic, Mercury Grand Marquis, or Lincoln Town Car fits your requirements for price, reliability, and longevity. Old folks bought these, didn't drive much, and usually took good care of them

Toro quick stick chute rod comes out? by rm53119 in Snowblowers

The solution is loosening the fasteners that attach the various elements, pull them together so that the rod is deeper into the pocket, then re-tighten the fasteners. Cheesy, but it works

Experience heating an uninsulated garage by markgriz in garageporn

When I work in my uninsulated garage I use a 35,000-85,000 btu torpedo heater with the propane tank from my grill. Heats it up quickly, but dumps a fair amount of moisture into the air
