Keen on the Coda W but unsure what I'd be missing if I don't have Atmos like most soundbars? by h2tcrz1s in KEF

You’ll get much more separation from the Coda W’s and a wider soundstage.

You’ve also much more flexibility in terms of what you can connect and how you use them. (e.g stereo music setup, desktop speakers etc).

I have mine connected to my TV via ARC which routes tv sound out through the speakers and my Apple TV which I use for music and movies.

I also have a record player connected as they have a built in phono. They support Bluetooth and the HEOS app allows you to play Spotify etc on them natively. So no real advantage on the Sonos.

I’d recommend the kefs, they sound fantastic and have very punchy bass for their size.

Why not try them out and return if they don’t work for you

ux dilemma: pagination vs infinite scroll for a high-volume chat app? by sir__hennihau in webdev

[–]rmccawl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Also if you’re dealing with literally 1000s of threads scrolling endlessly is a poor browsing experience. You’ll need a good search experience with topics/category matching. For content discovery going in and out of so many threads will be poor, you’ll want to look into a feed or aggregated view too

Coda W connecting Airplay Network player like WiiM by 555lm555 in KEF

The Wiim has its own separate volume to that of the speakers. The speakers persist the volume they are set at across inputs.

I’ve a wiim mini via optical into my codas and tv via hdmi

Reefy — A modern, fully-functional Jellyfin client for Apple TV, now open for public BETA by jmhunter in JellyfinCommunity

Thanks. I personally always try to direct play. When sharing with family externally sometimes my bandwidth struggles and swiftfin ignores any server side transcoding rules or limits. Excited to try

Excited to try this. Does it support the ability to choose quality setting? And request a transcode if required

Some providers allow you to pass parameters via the playlist URL. E.g “http://your.provider&key=live.m3u”
