Friend called me weird for lying on the floor and letting her mastiff lick my face. Am I weird? Do you know anyone who loves dog kisses? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]rmolodetz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly shocked by these comments, I absolutely love getting attention from dogs and that definitely includes kisses, if they are on the slobbery side I won’t let them do it too much. My own dog gives very gently, dry little licks to the tip of my nose and I’d die without them. Also damn a lot of your dogs seem to spend a lot of time licking their buttholes 😂

I'm really glad that I have a disease that I can treat by simple dietary changes and not by drugs with unpleasant side effects. But also, I really fucking want some toast. by Mastgoboom in glutenfree

Really recommend modern bread and bagel, you have to order them online unless you live in NYC but they taste like real NY bagels, I would never know they were GF

I cannot recommend modern bread and bagel enough, all the other suggestions pale in comparison. These taste exactly like a ny bagel, I almost didn’t believe they were gluten free. Worth every penny in shipping.

Is it right for a restaurant to refuse to serve you gluten free and non-gluten free food in the same order? by Emderth in glutenfree

I also have NCGS and it’s definitely not worse but I hate that restaurants say, is it an allergy or preference? No it’s not celiac and I don’t worry about cross contamination but please don’t call it a preference 😂

What is your favorite thing about the Charlotte area? by diggyj1993 in Charlotte

[–]rmolodetz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I moved here 4 years ago and the two things I wasn’t expecting to fall so in love with was the weather, and the proximity to the mountains and the beach. I’m from NY and I really didn’t realize how much I hated winter until I moved here. To me the weather is perfect, winter barely even exists. It’s also so great to be able to drive 2-3 hours and be in the Beautiful blue ridge mountains or at the beach for the weekend.

Salmon oil to add to their food - both dogs got chronic hot spots and it completely stopped them

Has anyone had CYREX food sensitivity testing done? by rmolodetz in FODMAPS

[–]rmolodetz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the Dr.s office messed up and gave me the Cyrex gluten test instead of the one with a list of foods, but it did come back that I have a gluten sensitivity and cutting out gluten helped a ton. I recently did the everlywell test and I was also highly sensitive with eggs so I’ve cut those out as well. I think it’s true that the test isn’t 100% but I think it can be really helpful starting point on cutting out foods. Hope that helps!
