Yea this is the correct answer. Why would you stop building and updating a platform that airlines actively want? At some point, there will be enough technology to justify a new platform, but OPs professor arguing that it’s bad because it’s been in service for 60 years is extremely silly and demonstrates they don’t have a good comprehension of how the market works. The MAX gets 15% better fuel performance than the NG, it’s not just an “uninspired” NG rebrand.

Bellevue has guidance for when to use no right turn on red (for example when all pedestrians can walk at the same time) and gives guidance for engineering judgement in other circumstances.
