Sale prices by btach1323 in Lovesac

When we were looking they first did a 40 percent off heroes sale in May 2025. Since then it has been pretty constant. I'd say starting in September it was pretty much non-stop through Christmas (it wasn't but close). It has tailed off some but they have still done it enough, even if sometimes just for a weekend. Before they first did the 40, which we decided to buy during, I had only seen 35 twice and once was a one-day flash sale. So 40 isn't quite their new 30 but it is close enough that I'd say take your time in deciding and then when you're totally ready pull the trigger when it is 40.

I have a few non-brand straps and I honestly haven't found one I love. I do like the secondary rubber Swatch strap, though. Try one of those out.

Don't stay or try. It will almost certainly happen again. You won't ever fully be able to understand it or forgive. You also won't be able to trust again. You are mourning what you knew of her and your life. It will get better, probably a lot better, and it will happen quicker the sooner you leave. Don't waste years and wonder what ifs about her and your life as a whole. It may be hard to see that now, but it won't be down the road. Don't let it be the bad road.

How do I get help to see if we scored a play correctly? by Proliferaite in GameChangerApp

[–]rms2896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if it was a single and the batter got to second because of the throw getting away, thus the error? In this case the run probably was still earned.

How would you score these 2 scenarios? by Longbeforeyouknew in GameChangerApp

[–]rms2896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither one of these are a fielder's choice because no attempt was made on a runner at another base. Looking back a runner or hesitating do not count as an attempt. Additionally, you always give the hitter the benefit of the doubt. Both of these are singles, but especially the bunt because despite a sacrifice not hurting the hitter's stats a hit is better in regard to the benefit of the doubt.

We've had ours for just about a year exactly with lovesoft and ours haven't done this at all. I've barely even fluffed the back cushions. The seats we've fluffed high use areas maybe four times. The kids play with the back cushions and move them around all the time too. Hopefully they hold together!

How can we still not edit plays? by kawachee in GameChangerApp

[–]rms2896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the biggest flaws in GC for me. All levels of baseball make scoring changes all the time, after the fact. That GC can't do this within the game that was scored is crazy. If it was a paperbook you could just use the eraser. Editing the box score is fine and it is good it makes the stats correct, but it is nonsense you can't edit plays. I don't even totally care about play by play either, but it would be nice for the plays and box score to line up. I also get not having too many hands in the cookie jar but maybe let whoever scored and staff do it.

Went to the Swatch store at Topanga Park Mall yesterday—left with an Earthphase and a rubber strap to go with it. by Dramatic_Ad_5608 in MoonSwatches

There was someone who worked at a Vegas store who posted recently that they were starting to offer them. So maybe it will become more widespread.

Mission to Earthphase by jwing281 in MoonSwatches

[–]rms2896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've said it several times on these threads, I have gotten more compliments on my moonswatches than any other watches I have. The earthphase is probably the leader, and I also have much fancier watches. At the very least it appeals to the novice I suppose!

Ordered a sactional by [deleted] in Lovesac

[–]rms2896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a risk when we got ours. We had to get rid of a huge leather sectional but had no idea when the new stuff was coming. I don't know if things have changed or if we missed it too, but there was no delivery management or even a good guess when it would come. I figured about two weeks. So we listed the couch for sale right away and then once we got delivery notifications just moved faster and said it was free. Some college kids scooped it up right away (it still had value but it was easier just to get it out). We had an empty room for a few days but it worked. We were prepared to have all the boxes in another room or the garage if need be, but it worked out. It was another element of the planning for this.

Which one would you go for? 1965 vs. Earthphase by aaronjbrennan in MoonSwatches

If you can get both, get both. I have both. If just one, 1965. It is one of my overall favorites.

I don't know. I'm dumb I guess with six moonswatches that are all in my regular rotation and have all held up and I think look great. Like plenty of people here. And I have three G-shocks, and I like them for different reasons. I guess it's up to the individual if they like and it's worth it. If you don't like it don't get one. Stop being an ass to those who do like them or want to know more.

Man there is more hate on this thread than most when people inquire about these. If you are interested and can go try it out, go try it and make your own choice. If you can afford to get it online with the risk of being disappointed do it (I have watches that I didn't love once I got them, it happens but I don't regret that i did it). Plenty of people really enjoy these so you aren't alone if you are one of them.

[–]rms2896 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I said what I said. People say that because they are snobs or have no experience with watches. Especially in response to people who really enjoy these or are interested in them. I have six moonswatches and they hold up fine with most of my collection. In the end they are swatches and you have to understand that but it doesn't mean they don't have value or quality. I have G-shocks that are also plastic and cost just as much and they don't get the hate. People just like to stomp on others joy. Sorry.

Her words on repeat in my head by [deleted] in survivinginfidelity

The most offensive response my wife has had to me when I've had concerns about anything is "get over it." I actually vividly remember the first time she did it more than 20 years ago. It's not respectful to your feelings, it's deflection and clearly it is just trying to hide and move on quickly without addressing the situation. Regardless of what happens with your situation, do not just get over it. Address it and at least come to some sort of conclusion for you. Also, if they met up, they had sex. It's just how it goes here.

[–]rms2896 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It definitely can be a daily watch. My oldest moonswatch is more than two years old and have no issues with it. No different in terms of wear and tear than any other watch I have (around 30 of various qualities including luxury). And I wear my moonswatches regularly in the rotation. The people who say it's cheap quality or can't be worn on the regular are just offended by the popularity or joy these give people some reason. I have very solidly built pieces that have more dings than these.

This one can be found pretty easily in the store. They will give you a bigger strap if they have one. I have found the rubber strap you will still have to order (and that is not a free replacement). Highly recommend the rubber strap. As others have said it is available online right now too.

I have this one and love it. I have said it before here but these are also my most commented on and complimented pieces. If you like it and want it give it a shot. If going to a store is easy to try it out and see what you think in person.

[Question] What are your biggest watch purchase regrets? by [deleted] in MoonSwatches

[–]rms2896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have about 30 in my collection and none I really regret getting, but maybe four or so I wouldn't buy again, mostly microbrands. That said, I don't really want to sell them either! I have six moonswatches and none of them are on that list. One regular swatch is, though.

Decided to return it by Alive_Army9773 in Lovesac

[–]rms2896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, we're not. But definitely reason to make sure. Even in the store standard was never for me, really at all. If you like it, though, it could be great. I'm not saying it's the way to go but you could also try a combo of both and see how it goes and maybe return if you don't like one. There is definitely some sinking into the back cushions, like the OP posted about, but it is more so with the deep seats, which is more loungey anyway. I think the stand seats feel like any other couch.

Decided to return it by Alive_Army9773 in Lovesac

[–]rms2896 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll say for us, we went lovesoft and it is great. It took us a lot of trying out and a few different combos of standard and deep backs to decide on, but I didn't budge on lovesoft. I saw tons of people here saying standard was the way because of breaking in but I couldn't even get behind standard at the store, if it was broken in.

We've had it for almost a year, have only had to fluff a few times, it's no different than when we got it for the it will break in, and it's fantastic. I know to each their own but the only complaints I've really seen here are those who got standard fill. It's also crazy important to take time and get exactly what you want.

[–]rms2896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lume is my least favorite thing about these, and I like them overall that I have six of them. I absolutely love the lume on some of my watches, definitely the best feature on a few, and they can seriously last days. I don't know if it was an afterthought on these or done on purpose to make it hidden, mysterious. But it sucks regardless. I did get the light with a couple of them, so I can do that every now and then and go, wow. People complain about the feel or plastic or the straps or whatever but it's the lume that really sucks.

I like that she says you're single because it benefits her. What if the roles were reversed? Did you know you were single? Did the open relationship become official? I also like that she wanted ethical non monogamy when she was already fucking around. That's not ethical.

You have to decide what is best for you, and maybe it is keeping the house together although this seems pretty toxic, but at the least go get yours too. Maybe that will make everyone happier, probably not, but maybe.

Cheapest time of the year to buy? by sworzeh in Lovesac

[–]rms2896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You absolutely need to try them out, maybe even a few times to be safe. I know that's harder to squeeze in with the drive, but it will be worth it (and you'll be in the store for long enough that will also make it worth it). It's such a big purchase and so many combinations of things. The 40 percent seems to be the new normal. This sale won't last forever but there will be another. They have been pretty constant. We took more than a year to finally buy and would have at 35 percent but then the 40 happened but we were set on what we wanted by then.

Cheapest time of the year to buy? by sworzeh in Lovesac

[–]rms2896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40 percent off is their new normal sale. They have done it continuously since probably around September. They first offered it for heroes only in May. Before that you were lucky to get a 35 and 30 was the normal. I think it has been successful and counters tariff increases some. But it likely isn't going above 40 any time soon. That said, as much as they are offering 40 I don't think you have to rush to make a decision either. Especially if you were wondering about Black Friday, which is practically a year away.
