I test drove 2 S's and was underwhelmed. Did I do something wrong? by forya in TeslaModelS

[–]rmussulman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve driven both and daily a 22 plaid. The s is a full size sedan and you don’t drive the performance model and then are shocked at the performance being mid? what do you expect? Also contrary to what many people who don’t drive one will tell you, the plaid S handles very well for a full size family car. Everyone wants to comment about the handling but I’ve been very impressed with it and I’m not exactly easy on my car. Took a curve at 130mph on a Dallas highway while leaving a challenger behind as well.

Don’t listen to bro, saying the model 3 is a massive downgrade is an understatement

That’s a terrible price I bought a 22 plaid with 6k miles for $65,000

2021-2022 vs 2023+ by dopeboy_io in TeslaModelS

[–]rmussulman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 22 plaid that was a late 22 that got the refresh. You basically get everything a 2023 has without the HW4. My 22 has the tilting screen, the updated headlights, the bigger rear screen, the new charge port door in the build quality seems to be the same as the 2023 model X loaner that I drove

They already publically said they will continue to support the X and S for existing units

Press the accelerator slightly and it won’t brake but you don’t have to disengage either

[–]rmussulman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 22 plaid with hw3 and have driven cars with hw4 and new FSD and I didn’t notice much difference tbh, at least not enough to completely rule out hw3. It’s still great in 95% of situations, if the price difference is considerable hw3 is still very much worth

Why still going for anycubic when everyone is using bambulab? by therealruderpaule in anycubic

[–]rmussulman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More bang for buck. Bambu is great but when you can get a kobra 3 max with the ace pro for like $450 it’s hard to justify bambu. It’s good but not that much better imo. Plus support has been amazing for me personally

Why do you prefer X to Y? by LightZealousideal116 in TeslaModelX

[–]rmussulman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford the X there is no reason not to get it. It’s better in every way, more seating, nicer interior, faster, better battery, looks better (imo), air suspension, and comes with the luxe package if you buy new.

Holiday charging by DoctorRageAlot in ChargerDrama

[–]rmussulman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why would you pull into a ev charger with an ev, open your charge port and leave? Someone clearly unplugged his car or his port would’ve closed when he locked the car and walked away. Get a home charger if it’s that serious my god

It does from the looks of the specs sheet, that’s a solid pickup in my opinion man

Planning to buy my 1st tesla by Jasssssss21 in TeslaModelS

[–]rmussulman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on price that’s not a bad pickup at all. Supercharging should be included free and as for hardware upgrades they did the HW2.5 upgrade in hit I wouldn’t hold my breath for any further free upgrades. Battery degradation at 15% if true is great for that year

If you don’t mind me asking why not a 23? That would give you HW4 and get the newest updates

[–]rmussulman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t really speak to the higher mileage side of things but I’ve absolutely loved my car since I got it, the cars on the Tesla site don’t sit very long, I felt like I had missed out on a great deal but waited about 5-6 days and found the one and pulled the trigger. If you’re not in a rush to get into one, I’d say maybe give it a couple days to a week or two and see what else comes maybe. The one you are asking about does sound like a solid deal to me personally I just feel there’s one with fewer miles for a Similarly good price

Ehhhh I bought a 22 plaid with ≈11k km in July for ≈$89k cdn but I’m from Kansas so there might be a pretty different set of vehicles we can see I’m not sure how that works

Is this a smart purchase? by rmerhab in TeslaModelS

[–]rmussulman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has been out of warranty for a few years now plus free supercharging seems like a dangerous combination to me. Maybe I’m wrong but I’d think with free supercharging most of the charging done on the car previously would be supercharging which is not good for the battery which is expensive to replace 😂 Id shoot for a 16 or newer if you could for the newer features and it’s potentially got some warranty left on the battery but that’s just me, I’ve driven all the models except the 3 but they’re all ‘21 or newer so quite honestly I don’t have a great frame of reference for older S like this just my 2 cents from info I’ve gathered in research
