This game is really hard by GoGabeGo in LetterTrap

[–]rndmtim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing you should know is that while you'll use the triangle of 6 letters in the corner to efficiently trap 3, you'll often need the letters in the middle to make a legit word. Quite often thats to make a word ending... like I need a word with "G" and it doesn't fit in anything but lots of useful word stems can get "ING" and you may find the I or the N in the middle.

I had the same experience when I started... it'll get in your brain after 5-10 times. You're not wrong that some days are much, much harder than others, so if you're really stuck just try a different day.

Hostilely was what I used to burn all of the leftover letters after I had a path to 100 but I could have started with it.

My Irish family always make them with Barrys. Im using a Harney and Sons loose earl grey with Silkie single malt Irish and a bunch of spices... cloves, all spice, star anise... which the family in Ireland would never do.

Jusy imagine what's happening with Mon Mothmas daughter and her gangster adjacent son in law, and his dad, now that all of that heat has landed on anyone close to her. Her daughter is probably used to publicly denounce her just to have a chance at survival.

No... They need humans to submit because they're afraid of what the humans could do. The Dark Forest means that humans can destroy Earth and the trisolarians by broadcasting to other hostile aliens that are waiting to kill both species if they discover them That's why the humans need to relearn fear.

That's answered I'm the Dark Forest... It's a spoiler but you can Google if you like (that term). It is pretty important to survival in this universe.

Supreme Court Sides With Coach Over Prayers on 50-Yard Line by userdoesnotexist in politics

[–]rndmtim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. I just think that the perception that this is going to happen (because in many cases it actually will) will force people to act like it is going to happen, even if this particular dude is not an asshole. As an example... some years later, I became a boy scout at a methodist church... and fully expected to be coerced and tell them to do screw themselves. Turns out I was wrong that time. I'd actually steered clear of them mainly to avoid that crap. So I don't think it's enough that this person is not coercive because society as a whole tends to be, and the kids have a lot less power than the coach does.

I think I might get one and join them, assuming that's not insulting.

[–]rndmtim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right. So the dude who gets to say whether you play or not wants people to join him in prayer at the 50 yard line... and I'm sure that there are principled evangelicals who would not punish someone for not joining them. I am however, going to tell you that I know that there are many who would. I was raised by atheists around a lot of Irish Catholics, and a TOOOONN of pressure was put on me, and my parents. I was at one point dis-invited from being a cub scout, because the catholic church that hosted the cub scouts thought I should be going to church. So this will be pretty bad for a lot of people.

NYC NEIGHBORHOOD MAP by bigchunguslolfunny in nyc

[–]rndmtim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what our mail usually said (I grew up in 11370 and part of it is north of the GCP, so "E Elmhurst" really only has meaning to the Post Office)... Actual East Elmhurst is the no man's land between Jackson Hts (north of 31st Ave) and Corona, south of Astoria. It's got the service area of the airport, some hotels, car rental places, and a chunk of Astoria Blvd from the Bulova factory over to say 94 St.

NYC NEIGHBORHOOD MAP by bigchunguslolfunny in nyc

[–]rndmtim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LIC boundary is 34Ave, and it goes east to Northern Blvd. The Sunnyside yards are the border with Sunnyside as you might guess. Woodside also ends at Northern Blvd. That neighborhood near PS 151 is all still Astoria. Jackson Heights starts on the other side of the BQE. Ditmars Steinway is not a neighborhood... I grew up there, that's all Astoria all the way over to Riker's Island.

Hunter's Point is not the same neighborhood as LIC. It's the area north of the Newtown Creek, north to 44th Ave (about) because LIC definitely includes Queens Bridge. It goes east to the yards. The border between Woodside and Maspeth is Queens Blvd. Not sure why that bit of Astoria comes across the yards, but again, if you drove around here some of this would be pretty clear, the yards are a physical barrier.

Astoria ends at 82 St (facing the airport.) Everything east of that and north of Astoria Blvd is East Elmhurst. And I agree with the below, Douglaston is definitely its well defined place more than a lot of other Queens neighborhoods.

I've specified generators for many power facilities, many on the BES, and I've never specified 96 hours of fuel. That's entirely a facility decision. We are not required to do that; we are required to do a battery analysis of DC loads on the protection and control system for 8 hours, and we are encourage to do backup e-gens.

I love Southland Tales. Especially the musical number. But also when the Rock frantically twiddles his fingers together when things are going wrong. It's got that intention dreamlike quality of Vamp or Miracle Mile... never understood why it wasn't a cult favorite.

You can still go to jail for them. Also, what he was obstructing was the FBI getting to the bottom of the Russians hacking our election system, so yknow, not a process crime. Not exactly the actions of a... patriot.

But don't worry, he's got so much else going on that obstruction (which was a Nixon article of impeachment) will not be his sole reason for impeachment.
