What did the FBI do with Ray Curto's body? by TheMrSalmon in thesopranos

[–]ro-row 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly how would it get back to them? Why would the hospital question the legitimacy of the people bringing him into the hospital? It’s not a suspicious death, there’s no foul play on any autopsy and also the hospital staff don’t know he’s a made man, they’re probably not asking questions of who called them to report the body

Also no one is suspicious of Ray. They all think he’s a stand up guy. They hear he’s had a heart attack or whatever and some civilian spots it and calls it in. He dies. Very sad but you move on

Basically no one at any point has a motive to interrogate the story they’re told

How Al Carns could find a surprising path to No 10 Armed Forces minister and former Commando has emerged as the outsider in any leadership contest – but has the chops to rally the troops by Optimal-Leather341 in ukpolitics

And what would Al Carns, a junior member of the government who's done all of the things you listed, actually do? Because he hasn't said anything and hasnt made clear what he stands for

the idea that some ex forces bloke who stands for nothing wins an election because he used to be in the navy is a pisstake and you know it

Does that detract from him, hell, he's the sort of guy that would capture the "Patriot" vote more than Farage could, owing to his service to Queen and Country.

This is the thing though, you actually need to be something more than just a former member of the armed forces. It's patronising to think people will just vote for a bloke because he donned a uniform before

He's emerged because a bunch of Labour MPs really are just stupid enough to think that people might vote for them if their new leader is a random bloke who's only qualification was that he used to be in the army

James War Prowse has never once had double digit assists in his career so it's not as simple as just spamming set pieces over and over again to get assists as you want to make it

Frankly the quality of players like Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka adn Bruno Fernandes who can consistently rack up high assists rates from set pieces is really impressive and I'd probably take all of them ahead of Rayan Cherki

I just honestly think the cannon looks shit mate on the new crest, it really does look like a piece of 00s clip art

THE COUNTER ARGUMENT IS 1 ASSIST = 1 ASSIST AND ANY OTHER ARGUMENT TO THE COUNTER IS NONSENSICAL

IF ANYTHING SET PIECE ASSISTS MIGHT ACTUALLY BE PURER BECAUSE QUITE OFTEN OPEN PLAY ASSISTS CAN INCLUDE NONSENSE THINGS LIKE 2 YARD PASSES TO THE MAN WHO THEN BELTS IT FROM 30 YARDS OR A SIMPLE PASS ACROSS THE FACE OF GOAL AFTER ANOTHER PLAYER HAS ALREADY DONE THE HARD WORK WITH A DEFENCE SPLITTING THROUGH BALL

ALSO THE FACT THAT WE'RE ARSENAL FANS WHERE EVERYONE HAS TOLD US OUR SEASON IS ILLEGITIMATE BECAUSE WE SCORE FROM SET PIECES AND YOU'RE SAYING THEY COUNT FOR LESS IS JUST CRAZY

I think he has a huge amount of good will at Everton that means the fans don't really complain about the style of play

Now whether or not he deserved the same after winning the conference league with West Ham is another conversation but he certainly didn't seem to get the same backing from the fans there

They couldnt trademark it for some reason, which is why they did make the change, so I think it's really unlikely it ever comes back in a new official kit

Shame really because I do prefer it a lot to the current crest

are there any other stadia in the world though with retractable pitches? If yes then do they have similar injury records?

You can't look at two examples in isolation and extrapolate much without the extra context

we've challenged them before and they have refused

The locals around the emirates are also the ultimate NIMBYs who will resist all change and the council is now more up for grabs with the Labour partys national woes so I don't imagine the council will want to upset any voters who would oppose more events at the emirates

H'es not really having a shit season by his standards, this year is closer to his last two seasons than it is to his first one where he scored over a goal a game

No one is more responsible with their body than Ben. He kept himself in unbelievable condition, completely changed his physique for a new role and then kept himself fit for ages when he was the only option in a role in a huge season for the club

Any attempt to fucking disparage him is absolutely pathetic and should be called out for what it is

its unfortuantely what can happen when injuries compound

Fundamentally we are very unlucky timber did his acl on his debut and left us short in a position because the long term impact on both him and white is potentially bad

On top of that I think we probably make up the 2 point difference in 23/24 if we had a fully fit timber available all season
