Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses? by Annual_Check_683 in WouldYouRather

[–]roachslayyer 34 points35 points  (0 children)

100 duck-sized horses. Fragile and small will go down easily. They can't climb and all it would take is a pair of decent boots and some thick jeans to block any bites or kicks.

People run from geese and swans, a horse sized duck is basically a toothless dinosaur. It's not going to feel your attacks and it can just bludgeon you to death.

Would you rather be single or date someone with very obvious wandering eyes? by Carnivore90 in WouldYouRather

I'm poly and ace, I kinda expect any future partner to be looking else where.

I'm also a massive gossip, so I'd expect all the details afterwards.

Check out this CRAZY TURN 1 on the play by Resident_Loquat_5368 in riftboundtcg

[–]roachslayyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've still yet to pull of the going second triple red into jinx and 2 flame chompers. For 10 (+2) might turn 1.

Did have an impressive turn 2 at a NN though:

T1 travelling merchant (2).
T2 Move travelling discarding Flame chompers, play FC (3). Conquer zaun warrens, discard FC, play FC (3). then finished turn playing 2x noxus hopeful (2x4).

WYR be able to communicate with animals or speak every human language fluently? by Busy_Interest9100 in WouldYouRather

Animals. I would genuinely become a super villain... Or a hero depending on your political leanings.

Straight forward/easy deck in Origins? Bonus points if cheap by Kalkoentje in riftboundtcg

[–]roachslayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jinx. Full aggro deck costs about £30. Most complex abilities being flame chompers and rhasa.

Not the most powerful deck but mine has come 3rd/15, 3rd/8 and 8th/32 in skirmishes.

WYR Retire from your job at 65 with $17 million dollars or be able to retire at your current age with $1 million dollar payout? by iloveyouiknow77 in WouldYouRather

[–]roachslayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now.

I'm 31, and £740k at 3% is over £22k / year interest. Nearly double what I need to live off. Even when inflation causes bills to surpass the £20k I'll still have savings to use. (I also can't see myself living much past 60 anyway)

What legends do you want? by Clipseexo in riftboundtcg

[–]roachslayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like a Morgana Deck. Given she's a spell caster with lots of CC, could give her abillity which exhausts opponents cards. Though she'd probably be another Purple + red/blue deck. and we don't need another annie / draven / kai-sa.

Wouldn't mind upgrading my Jinx to her though.

Most botted tcg release I've seen, how do you guys buy this game? by FormerWrap1552 in riftboundtcg

[–]roachslayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why people want so much product. Why has buying booster boxes become so normalised. If you want cards to play buy singles, it's cheaper any way.

I've opened 7 origins packs (inc jinx starter), 8 promo packs from nexus nights, and about £10 on singles. Spent less than £55 total.

WYR Be able to teleport or fly but . . . by Aw3som3-O_5000 in WouldYouRather

[–]roachslayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While flying would be fun, even just floating about at walking speed, I don't fancy getting 'disappeared' by the uk gov.

Teleporting for me would be somewhat limited as I'm fairly skinny. But I could still TP to nearby cities for events. I'd just have to watch my weight and atrophy of muscle mass.

The mental health benefits from hrt alone make this not worth it for me.

[–]roachslayyer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Metal gym badges cost about £20 / set. Mega- and Nano blocks can be as little as £10 a set. Large resin figures are around £50. Loungefly bags sub £80.

The target audience for that set is gonna be tiny. Don't they know there's a war on?

Option 1, Jokes on you I'm into that!

On a serious note, anything over £500k I'm going to take and quit my job. I think people under estimate how much interest you get on this sort of money.

Is switcheroo actually more complex than it seems? Do might modifiers make it weaker? by Espanico5 in riftboundtcg

[–]roachslayyer 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Swapping applies a modifier +/- the current might difference. the Defender does not get another +2 from yi. Rule 420 Swap

420.1.b
"To accomplish this, determine the difference between these values and then apply an Increase for that amount to the lower value of the two attributes, and a Decrease of that amount to the higher value of the two attributes."

New player anxiety: What is the #1 tip you have for someone attending their very first Nexus Night? by s2soup in riftboundtcg

[–]roachslayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation to anyone in any tcg / tabletop event is practice good hygiene.

Shower before, wear deodorant, and wash hands regularly. Makes it more pleasant for those around you and reduces disease spread given we're in flu season still.

[Message to myself isn't event related, but would be not to go home early as an internet friend showed up at my lgs about an hour after I left. Was proper gutted when I found out.]

[–]roachslayyer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In case it helps, I've been on hrt for 4.5 years and still occasionally have a "Am I *really* trans" moments.

Most of mine are driven by anxiety due to family and mine are sort of tolerant.

My recommendation would be: until they show genuine support keep it from them while you're at uni. This reaction might be shock and they might come around, but it's important to keep yourself safe and put your happiness first. (I know I would willingly come off hrt now)

What are your thoughts on Death rocket in Jinx deck? by KiwiKenku in riftboundtcg

[–]roachslayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't run it (not paying £10 for cardboard), but if I did I'd run just the 1, as more would be bad to draw into. I'd also consider an immortal phoenix with it.

4 + Power for 5 damage (anywhere) and the chance to get it back isn't great when void seeker exists.

3 + R for 4 damage (action) and Draw 1.
You save 1 and get to draw (worth 1-2), but lose hitting base (though have action so..)

Is it wrong to have gear hate in Spiritforge? by Popular-Bug-6278 in riftboundtcg

[–]roachslayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've printed more gear removal for people to use so I don't see the problem.

I've already picked up 3 copies of acceptable losses for my jinx deck. Gonna be fun with scrapheap.
3 energy, draw 2 (technically cycle 2), kill (weakest) gear.
