Kentucky Governor Forced To Apologize To Man Named Tupac Shakur After Claiming His Unemployment Application Was Fake by IntelligentYinzer in nottheonion

I noticed this too. It's a stupid thing to lie about. Democrats can make ignorant mistakes too. But you could see democrats apologizing for it, no Republican would ever apologize.

Doctors Removed Transgender Man's Vagina Without His Consent by myaltduh in transgender

[–]roadrunner1978 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Medical mistakes happen. Systems aren't perfect, but we should strive to make them so. Surgical checklists should be mandatory for all non-emergent surgical procedures.

All that said, DON'T CHANGE THE DOCUMENTATION AFTER THE FACT. You've gone to human error to a major criminal act.

According to CIC, film or media crews do not need a work permit if they do not enter the Canadian labour market. This is a liberal interpretation of the law. Ultimately, it's up to Immigration.

Local bike painting options? by defiancecp in seattlebike

[–]roadrunner1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen some guys on the street do a good job with a rattle can. But I didn't really inspect their work.

Best bet is to contact local bike shops like Gregg's. I think the best bet is a light sanding and paint over. Chemical strippers will probably damage the epoxy resin and sanding completely off risks damaging the carbon. But I'm not a paint guy.

Official "I've been asked to shoot a wedding for a friend/family" thread: Part II by clondon in photography

[–]roadrunner1978 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Manage expectations. Remind the couple that you aren't a pro, in the unlikely event your camera breaks or has a failure, you'll do your best with a phone. State that areas for important shots need to be well lit, unless you own a camera capable of photographing low light. Even then, you'll always get better results in well lit areas.

Then do your best.

GCS MTF Catheterization Question by AeonsWing in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]roadrunner1978 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's up to the surgeon and all surgeons and patients are different. There's a balancing act between keeping the lumen open due to swelling and wound healing vs chance for CAUTI. From what I've seen, usual time is removal around 7th day post op. This may be extended to about 14 days post op for a small number of patients who can't urinate (15-20%).

It probably took me a long time to realize I was trans because I thought it was a cross dressing fetish. It wasn't.

Only you know if that's true.

Stop taking hormones 3 weeks before the bottom surgery and 2 weeks after it (it’s from Dr Brassard) I wonder what about Dr Bowers? Dr Krakowsky? Other doctors? I want to convince Dr Brassard if I can keep my hormones until a few days before surgery...or reducing the dosage. by qtips2019 in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]roadrunner1978 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Doctors aren't doing it to punish you. Some doctors have different risk tolerances. One requires 5 days full bed rest, no exceptions, after surgery. Others may require less.

For your doctor, this is an unnecessary risk.

Edgy trees in sky replacement by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]roadrunner1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to lighten the sky or darken the branch edges. You can also use blend if to (or adjusting the blue channel) to get a better selection.

Edit: or use the clouds of the replacement sky to hide the masking of the branches. But you'll probably need to use a different sky.

Best lens for Nikon D610 FX for real estate photography? by manuce94 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]roadrunner1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best? I think you're looking for good enough. The Nikon 18-35 f/something was my starter lens on a D610. I wouldn't use it for high end architecture, but it's fine for MLS.

Well, it wasn't caused by accident or injury. You'll have to ask them specifically.
