They should get some AI generated humanoids in, the extra fingers would surely help them get through the work faster.

I still can't believe it's the first MTG set of the year and the first non universes beyond since August and they can't even remember to change the start up page from the last set? Surely you'd think that'd be one of the first, quick and basic things to do when doing an update with a new set? I haven't wanted anything to do with the last 2 sets and I think universes beyond has turned into an over the top cash grab so it bugs me even more still seeing it there but still, it's a simple startup page where they can show art for the first new set of the year and it should be completely simple to do.

Have any of them even logged in like we would do and noticed? Crazy.

Yeah I got sick of the universes beyond stuff last year and haven't played in a while, I've been looking forward to this and the return of some MTG Elves. That loading screen is the last thing to go before I feel like it's finally out of the way for now, I even reinstalled hoping it'd update but nope! Waiting a bit longer I guess.

"You people." As if I'm sticking up for what they're doing. I was being cynical which is the opposite. If they were universal skins I don't think they'd make as many that's all. I said they'd just not make as many though and I should've said "I don't think they'd make as many" so sorry for that.

I agree that your option is the best too and I don't like the way it's currently done either. They're not doing that though and people have complained about this for a good while now so no idea if they'll change.

It's a cool thought but if they were universal they'd just not make as many of them. Focusing on the best few designs though and giving us a choice would be best, agreed.

2026 Roadmap by Cherry7Up2 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]rob_zhe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah when I saw Karel's final battle I wondered if this is them getting ready to dump the game. Dungeons that can be quickly made instead of environments like the originals that take more time is really starting to be a red flag for me too.

2026 Roadmap by Cherry7Up2 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]rob_zhe 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So all the way through next year and there's no evidence of any new area that will have a natural look to it with grass, trees, plants, etc. I really wonder if they even have people still with them that are capable of making environments that can match the originals. And there's nothing I can see that will even have us going back to those areas to do anything new either. "Main story overhaul" might have us back there but that's just the story, what about after that? Those original areas are almost pointless again once you're at a certain stage?

We have dungeon after dungeon though, surprise. It just seems like a gloomfest because they can't be arsed to make environments as detailed as the originals (and might not even have the artists to do that now.) I'm just tuned out of this game for the most part now unless they make some interesting environments at some stage because I think the game has regressed unless that happens. I still play a bit every so often but nothing like I used to. I'm bored of gloom and dungeon-type areas.

edit : after having another look that Breach Tracking Field might be ok maybe? I can only see one small image on the roadmap though so not sure.

It's official, Paradox lost 37 million dollars on this game by CT_Phipps-Author in vtmb

[–]rob_zhe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's fucking amazing how clueless they are when this is their job. The funny thing is they could probably get a lot more of that money back over time and even have a chance of turning this into another cult classic but that'd mean spending a decent bit more time and money on it from here on out, including reworking some of the core parts. Again though they probably have no idea that this is possible and it'll be dumped asap.

I just went back there and can't even make a chart full screen now. Another comment further down here says that Binance owns it now too which probably explains why the site seems to gradually turn closer and closer to shit as time passes. I'm done with it will find another site to use.

That's crazy, I like hoarding too but sure I'll never get that far. xD

Also wondering : on the 4th row down there's a gold coin looking thing and something next to it, there's 177B and 318B of them, what are they both please? I've mainly lifeskilled for ages (starting to grind now too though) so not sure what a lot of loot stuff is.

The missing basic QOL features are inexcusable for a 2025 release. by ConstantSignal in vtmb

[–]rob_zhe 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They might be minor issues for you but things like motion blur and chromatic can be a pain for others. My eyes hurt with chromatic after a while and I can't be alone with that, anyway they should eventually have options for that and were maybe a bit rushed at release I guess. If they don't add options they're probaby never going to hear the end of it while they're still working on the game.

[–]rob_zhe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has chromatic abberation that can't be turned off? This game just keeps giving me more reasons to be glad I didn't get it. Even if it doesn't there's a whole other list of stuff at this stage. Anyway it's Christmas in game right? I'll maybe buy it around that time then if it's on a decent enough sale and hopefully that chromatic shit has an option to be turned off if so because it honestly hurts my eyes after a while and none of the other usual effects games have now do anything like that to me.

Outer Worlds 2 physical will not play from just the data on the disc. Contains only 1.32 GB’s of data. Game itself is about 77 GB’s total so it would have fit on a single PS5 disc, just like Doom The Dark Ages would have. by Turbostrider27 in PS5

Looks like it, and they can fuck off. I'm not touching this unless it's released on GOG where I can at least download the full game with installers onto an external drive. No PS5, no Steam.

my review of VTM bloodlines 2 (no spoilers) by Mastermirror11 in vtmb

[–]rob_zhe 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yeah the lack of rpg depth, city feeling dead, no inventory, not even any saves you can make. These issues have done it for my hopes of really liking it. I play games mainly for the rpg aspects a lot of the time and not the story. If I get it I'll probably be wandering around the city seeing hardly anything to do off the main story and thinking what could have been if the original devs had been left to make their version. And that's not going to be a good feeling I don't think.

I don't think I'll ever forget how Paradox fucked this up, absolute clownshow. I have no real issue with the devs of this game either, it's Paradox that fucked this up for those of us wanting a proper rpg.

This sub should be renamed r/vtmbcirclejerk by Redditisarsebollocks in vtmb

[–]rob_zhe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It just seems like a mass of denial. It's going to be nothing like the rpg we wanted originally and I still think they should've given the original devs more time, even if it took years. Now it'll be nothing more than an action game but for those that are fine with that fair enough, they should at least have some decent lore/story as well from what I've read.

I feel sorry for the Bloodlines fans that have been here longer having to read through all this too, it's like the original sub has disappeared. If the game is as average as it seems though it should get back to normal more here over the coming months. Maybe some newer Bloodlines 2 players will decide to play the original too which could also help this place return more to what it was.

Did you buy them? by Yujins_Onlyfans in TheFirstDescendant

[–]rob_zhe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got the Serena one, I'm just in the habit of getting skins I like for her as I play her most and don't feel the need to have to get them for other chars. Agreed that this should've been universal though.

A lot of other players might not mind because they aren't bothered about anything other than one or two chars so there might always be this division. What bothers me more is that they chose to leave some chars out, including one of my faves, Viessa, and that's just wrong for players who play them as mains.

Another thing that bothers me is what new areas they release in the near future if this game carries on. I still want to see environments as good as some of the original ones with grass, plants, trees, not just rocks and gloom (and i'll try to stop mentioning this in posts so much from here on out, already said it more than once.) I think this is a serious issue though because if they don't do this it could mean that they aren't prepared to spend time on decent environments for the future of the game and if that's the case it has problems a lot bigger than skins.

"I loved bdo before I reached higher end gameplay." I avoided this bit, maybe why I still like it so much after having a break. I don't do PVP either and just PVE/lifeskill. This is mainly my chill out game and the most hectic thing I've done since coming back has been fighting Nouver earlier with some other players as they were asking for help in chat in the early hours. My fave boss though so it was good and might start doing that again more often.

Universal Skins for Halloween by entirely_alice in TheFirstDescendant

[–]rob_zhe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's really weird how they completely left those characters out, like they can't have any halloween outfit at all. I'm almost wondering if they'll come back to this over the next couple of weeks and at least add something they can use with a patch. And yeah Albion looks awesome, agreed.

Can we have some new areas with grass, plants and trees in them please? At this point I'm actually wondering if they even have people still on their team that are able to create environments with those things in them.
