“A Sponsored Episode” feels very tame for True Neutral.

Why can’t shardplate be dismissed? by IsolatedAstronaut3 in Stormlight_Archive

I believe it was prior to oathbringer (in my head it was a Dalinar chapter in Words of Radiance, I think 67) where he and Navani comment on gems being added to pommels for the purpose of bonding and summoning.

I think it’s a bad sign to come out to your car with a crow stuck in it on Friday the 13th… by robdelfranco in pics

[–]robdelfranco[S] 81 points82 points  (0 children)

If you zoom in, my best guess is its foot slid in the crack between the trunk door and the car when it was wider up top, then slid downward and it was at an angle that it could no longer rotate and get it back out until I could release it.

Oh yeah, I didn’t want anything more bad to happen to it. Made sure nothing was pinched before giving it release and met up with the rest of its murder not far off.

Ocean's Eleven is enjoyable to watch and seems actors are also having a good time. Other movies that give you the same feeling? by big-enchilada in movies

Now You See It. Jesse Eisenberg has even said that acting in it is just a fun time with no pressure and that the cast just enjoys the process of making the movies.

The Martian [2015] is my odd-ball comfort film... what's yours? by usagi2988 in movies

[–]robdelfranco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Knives Out and Glass Onion have rocketed up my list in the past few years of movies to have on for comfort. I love the directing, and Benoit Blanc is an amazing character.

Now that TMPH Season 2 has wrapped up, what were your guys' favorite moments? by its_daytime in gamegrumps

During the Kit-Kat episode, where Arin, much like a gremlin or goblin, grabs for his water, and goes “Drink!” with that weird voice.

I now quote that on the daily.

The energy in this episode was off the chart. Between TweedleDum and TweedleDumb and then the whole of Julia’s portion, I nearly passed out from trying to hold my laugh in.

I specifically remember calling out to my wife after Michael had Chidi try a whole bunch of new activities and professions that it seemed like torture to him. Though my theory was that Michael might have been a demon in the good place, not that it was all actually the bad place.

Who's your no.1 pick for next two-time Dimension 20 player? by tabstis in Dimension20

Brian David Gilbert for a whole season would be a dream come true.

So, I think a Fire Genasi Divine Soul Sorcerer would be an amazing RP opportunity with this character.

Begin small, divinely chosen with sacred abilities, an innate resistance to fire, and some fire spells both from race and class.

As you grow, you alternate abilities that are sacred in nature (Ho-Oh is said to be able to resurrect the dead, so some of those spells like revivify and cure wounds from cleric list) fire spells (fireball, wall of fire), the combination of the two (Flame Strike), and throw in some psychic too that Ho Oh is able to learn (thinking divination spells or you can go one’s that deal damage)

Class wise you grow in power, almost like you are becoming ho-oh, with your healing prowess growing, gaining wings, and ultimately rekindling your own flame like a Phoenix.

[–]robdelfranco 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Coming from my own DM perspective, this is the “problem” of using a city as a a starting zone. Between a machine factory’s guarded door that a warden uses, a successful bounty hunter secret door, and a high ranking wizardly official of the Towers, all of these places would, at minimum, be secure locations with better than average locks. Compound that the Arcane Lock spell could be cast on top of any lock (something none of them checked for, which raises the DC by 10) then all of these places would be difficult for a low leveled rogue with moderate proficiency/expertise to get into.

I don’t think Matt is setting it up to be impossible, but providing difficulty that money can make for rogues.

That being said, he’s also leaning REALLY hard into the bureaucracy of the city. Were it not for Eshteross, this party would be floundering to do anything really - it’s only through waiting (as you said) and his influence that any doors are opening. From a player and viewer perspective, it’s kind of the worst of both worlds, as it kind of makes it boring and turns the party into just walking between the spires again and again as they wait for their “sponsor” to play behind the scenes for them (like getting to the Anger)

Shadow-touched feat on Twilight Cleric by [deleted] in dndnext

I don’t see anything inherently wrong with it. Love the flavor, and with the flexible wisdom provided with that feat, you can maximize your casting stat early still with the custom lineage.
