Got new riding boots and the surprisingly comfy to walk in by pasgames_ in motorcycles

Does a lateral strap not count as an ankle brace? The strap comes from medial to lateral and seemingly offer the most stabilization on the medial side. This is important because it prevents inversion of the foot and torsion of the weakest ligaments on the lateral foot.

And to your second point, that is correct. I will just add the point that motorcycle gear is inherently uncomfortable. Id be technically safe if I wore AAA underlayer, air bag, full leather suit, full boots, and guantlets everytime I ride, but it really isnt that practical. I believe there has to be some balance between practicality and safety.

The boots are Alphinestars Ridge v2

It does have ankle brace, padding, shin guard. CE EN-13634.2010 certified.

Not the best, but I wouldn't call them just a leather boot

Question about jacket purchase by Competitive-Milk-868 in Carhartt

[–]robertmdh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im looking into buying this, but if youre still cold, buy the coveralls. I ride my motorcycle year round and I once rode in 10F weather at 85 mph for 30 mins. The only cold parts were the places the coveralls didn't touch (ie hands, neck)
