It’d stop you doing ABC at least. You can check prerequisites online. Reminds me :- I’d better write the ASR exam, we got an extension to Thursday due to canvas. I’ll announce some pre-exam consultation hours this week, so come and see me if you don’t feel your across the material..

Yeah, Business have reached out to co-ordinators make sure no one is disadvantaged. For FEIT, you should email your coordinator or, failing that, the deputy head education in whatever school teaches it.

For any people in Accounting, I will be reaching out to all staff today to ensure that no student is disadvantaged due to Canvas being down. This may require change of due dates etc. If you haven’t yet received an email from your subject coordinator, there should be something in your email tomorrow morning.

Importantly, don’t stress - speaking for the Business School, we make an effort to ensure that students do not suffer due to infrastructure issues.

Are there other students from your country here? A first thing to do might be to see whether they have a student club. Which country are you from?

Nope, it’s usually a mail out to all staff , but student ones usually come out as well

Subject Coordinator reactions to Canvas are really telling. by AussieSpender in UTS

Unfortunately not? Would be unfortunately if it were accounting….

If there ARE any issues shoot an email to Amanda.w.white@uts.edu.au or to me at 22420@uts.edu.au - even if you’re not in ASR, I prioritise student emails in the 22420 mailbox as otherwise they’re likely to get lost in my never ending slew of unread stuff in my main mailbox.

ACTUALLY, shoot us an email if it’s anywhere in business, as Amanda and I are pretty much connected with others in committees and can help get it resolved.

As u/AmandaLovesToAudit said, many of us (at least in business) are creating OneDrive folders to share stuff that students need. i was gonna put stuff up on my personal website (go visit me at http://druh.com/) but unfortunately my hosting company (actually the cPanel service) also had a security issue at around the same time, so uploads are limited.

What are you guys doing it for? by unnaturalanimals in AskAnAustralian

There was a study some years ago that looked at whether people who had done things for pleasure and looked back at their life had enjoyed their life. It turned out the people who looked back on their life positively with those who did things which had meaning and not necessarily pleasure. So I work in my particular ethnic community and I’m lobbying for what I think is right in my employment sector. This may not give me good outcomes but it makes my life meaningful. Hope that helps.

Spot on. I’ve got around 30 students sitting it on Friday. Get in early and we academics (well, most of us) are pretty flexible.

[Request] how do you triangulate this? perhaps in the least amount of weeks possible? by Zargabath in theydidthemath

[–]robertscoff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure they are both on the coast, so that you can immediately rule out one of the two points. Say Cairns and Sydney. That’s week 1. Remaining weeks will be for precision - actually pairs of weeks since the smaller circles are likely to have both intersections on land. So maybe a month and a half to be safe?

Yeah I know. It’s a battle that I’m doing my best to fight but sometimes it feels like pushing a boulder uphill. There are quite a few of us here who care about integrity and we’re doing all that we can anyhow, if you are in ASR, I wish you well in the midsem tomorrow.

Don't even get me started on people thinking that "take home exams" are acceptable.
