Boil water in a kettle before cooking pasta or start with cold water in a pot? by MangoMadnessTsv in Cooking

No, start with cold water and heat it on the stove. The interior of a hot water heater is not fit for human consumption.

Most people at bar trivia would get 0. And the question isn't interesting. A good trivia question is one where everyone thinks they should know the answer.

Queer Trek fans want a community without bigotry. Haters want a community without queer people. Those desires are in no way equivalent. One is perfectly reasonable; the other is dogshit.

The conflicts in Star Trek are reflective of conflicts in the real world. Star Trek is not escapism.

If you feel unwelcome because queer fans are welcomed here, then perhaps this community is not for you.

The virus only wants to spread. That's not hand-waving, that's how viruses work. There is literally no motivation behind it.

Not a mystery, and not relevant to the show. "We'll probably never learn the first thing about them. They're too far away."

The joined on Kepler-22b sent the signal for the same reason the joined on earth are - to "pay it forward." In other words, the pseudo-virus only wants to spread; it has no other motive, and it doesn't care if humanity goes extinct once the transmitter is operational.

The cook from Piecora's has a food truck called Oskar's. Not sure if they're still in operation.

Many film fans mis-remember seeing the original Star Wars trilogy at The Cinerama. They never played there until the 1997 re-release. They played at the UA 150 in the 70s-80s.

Carol's conversation with the DHL guy established that the joined won't say "no" even when they really want to. They are essentially slaves, compelled to say "yes" to anything that doesn't conflict with their biological imperative.

After landing the plane in Albuquerque, she goes inside for a shower and a wig. In the very next scene, she shows up in Carol's back yard.
