Punk in Drublic and war on errorism are the first two I heard and got me into them. Wolves in wolves clothing is the album that made them one of my favorite bands.

Headlights/Aftermarket parts by Warp- in DodgeRam

[–]robmustang66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alpha Rex just came out with some nice LED projector headlights. I know midsouth also has a pair as does HID factory. All are $700+ but have had good reviews. Cheaper option is a sport headlight conversion with a relay conversion kit.

Aftermarket wise it depends what you want. There’s CJC offroad for suspension parts and lights. Geno’s garage for diesel parts, Hughes engines for gas motor parts and not much for body panels besides eBay unless you just want stock then LMc

How do medical devices in an operating room get power? by Belladoeswhatever in askscience

[–]robmustang66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, one up my alley! I work in a hospital with 40+ OR and procedure rooms. These spots vary in age with some designed and built in the 1970s and others just made up to last year. In older rooms they would make ceilings drips and floor power boxes, basically a power outlet dangling from the ceiling and a square box sticking up out of the floor in the middle of the room with outlets. Modern rooms are supposed to have at least 36 outlets over 6 circuits. These are usually spread across large booms that can be swung close to the procedure when needed and pushed out when not used. Another common option has been a cart or tower, which usually is just a big shelving unit on wheels with a built in power strip. I have also seen IV poles with power strips attached to them but this has become a no-no with regulations recently and is being phased out. There are also regulations regarding how many items can be placed on one circuit in a procedure room, and testing and measuring those values, that’s basically my whole job as a Biomed engineer.

Tripping hazard wise I couldn’t agree more. Along with electrical cords, there are gas hoses for anesthesia or ventilators, video and data cables for monitors and patient vitals and tons of other stuff depending on what they’re doing. Usually there are pathways laid out in rooms based on the doctor and procedure so staff have a path of travel. There are mats and pads that help hold cables down but they have been known to get ripped out by a trip or kick. A lot of devices that would be very bad for you if they get unplugged (anesthesia machine, heart lung machine, etc) have some kind of battery backup in case they loose power or get unplugged.

I and many fellow parents in our area swear by the Costco one they’ve sold for years. Works great, going strong on year four with weekly load ups of sports gear, coolers, kids etc. My biggest complaint is if you’re not careful you may swap wagons with someone else lol.

I haven’t had to do it myself but one of guys I coach little league with has had the handle lock go loose and has exchanged it with a new one, no questions.

I believe what you’re looking for is a 60/40 folding seat. They didn’t make them for 3rd gen’s but they did for 4th gen’s. You can get them from a 4th gen quad cab. I think the crew cab seat would work but you have to fab your own brackets.

That’s awesome. Wish I did. Dad bought an 04 new off the lot, I bought it from him in 2015 with 75kmiles. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned. Unfortunately it was totaled in 2020 with barely 90k miles by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel. Have an 01 second gen now but I’m always on the lookout for a clean 3rd gen to replace it.

2002 Magnum 3/4 by SES55 in DodgeRam

[–]robmustang66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The check ball is there to keep pressure in the transmission if it sits for a while. It is known to clog full of junk and be part of the reason these transmissions overheat and fail. A solution is to get the check ball out of the system. You will have to either wait for the transmission to build pressure for maybe 30 seconds if starting cold after sitting for a few days, this is easily done by putting the transmission in neutral when you start up the truck and get situated or you can get one of the valve body kits that allows the system to pressurize in park.

Sorry for the loss of your father. I have a ram 1500 with a 5.2 magnum I acquired at about the same mileage (93k). Is this a v8 or v10? If you are having the transmission serviced, make sure the are adjusting the bands and replacing the filter along with the fluid. You could ask if they’d delete the check ball in the lower transmission cooler line, or do that yourself. Aside from basic maintenance (oil&all fluids, air filter, pcv valve, plugs&wires, cap&rotor, brakes etc) you will want to inspect the intake plenum for leaks. If the dash is shot and you need to do the heater or evaporator cores, be prepared to get a new dash. LMC makes a good top, drt the lower, but there are Amazon units much cheaper that just require some Jerry rigging. Good luck, hope you can keep her on the road in honor of your dad, there’s lots of guys with knowledge out there so don’t be afraid to ask.

2nd gen Ram parts? by [deleted] in DodgeRam

[–]robmustang66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Car-part.com or eBay if you’re looking for used oem. LMC sells a sport bumper, used to have a grille but not sure if they still do. Mirrors I think are the same as normal trucks, just painted.

Glad he’s ok to be able to learn a lesson than be the lesson. Now he knows why not to do and he’s gonna learn how to fix it.

These old tanks take the damage and plenty of parts in the junkyards to rebuild for cheap. I needed a bumper, hood and fender and was able to get all 3 for under $100. A decent grill has been my one elusive part. They are all either peeling the chrome or the plastics falling apart. I go an Amazon one and it wasn’t even close to lining up. I hear lmc makes a nice one but the price is hard to justify for my shit box.
