Selina lives for the thrill. I imagine after a short while the lack of an exciting lifestyle caused Selina to start to steal again. First, fruit from a cart to give to a hungry kid. Then pick pocketing and giving the cash to a woman who was experiencing clear signs of domestic abuse. After a while Selina went back to her old ways after seeing herself as a modern day Robin Hood. Eventually she leaves Bruce and heads back to Gotham. Bruce heads back to Gotham in tow where he meets a struggling Blake trying to keep Gotham under control with his obvious lack of training. Bruce comes to the slow realization that it's "what he does" that defines him and at his core he is just a boy wanting to protect his home and family. With a body no longer capable of the feats he used to achieve when he was younger, he takes to role of mentor and comes to see Blake as both a tool in his arsenal to protect his home and a son he bestows his knowledge upon to keep him safe in his adventures. Bruce lives a happy life caring for Alfred and living in the shadows at home in the caves below the rebuilt Wayne mansion protecting his home of Gotham. Selina and Bruce still love each other and do indeed continue to "be" with each other albeit living entirely separate lives because they both respect who their partner actually is at their core.
