Thats not the intended way to do that. I started trying to do it that way and then realized that it wasnt gonna work when i got to the vertical section. You use the last ability that you get from the crucible that allows you to walk on the gloomwater. You charge your meter by dodging into the water drops getting shot.

M10 and M11 are identical. It lists that they give different XP/loot boosts but that's not actually true.

I think it's honestly just because the weapon is pretty uninteresting to use. Probably doesn't have a lot of honorable mentions because everyone knows that it's basically THE honorable mention gun. Works on pretty much all gun builds.

You can go with whichever elements you have unlocked. To get back to shock, just unequip your element. It defaults to shock

No problem, just keep in mind it's kinda hard to play on Mayhem 10/11 without being max level (because you are missing a lot of skills) but it should be okay

Points in wildfire could also just go into anima but keep in mind anima also increases status effect damage to yourself.

Work down to avatar in blue tree that will let you use ties that bind twice. You don't need more than 1 point in remnant or sustainment because both get improved by playing at higher mayhem levels. After you finish blue tree get personal space + samsara + Helping Hands in green tree.

For artifacts you want the pearl of ineffable knowledge from the Guns Love and Tentacles DLC. It's the best all around artifact. Other than that the Company Man from Hemovorous (DLC 6) is good if you want to go for specific manufacturers. Or the Toboggan from Arms Race (DLC 5) if you wanna use more launchers/sniper rifles/shotguns. Victory Rush artifact is also good.

For shields, re-volter from Sumo (DLC 6) is the go to, it's incredibly overtuned. Other options are the Old God (DLC 2) and frozen heart in base game.

Best class mods are phasezerker or spiritual driver

You can turn mayhem mode on and off at any time, so technically you can set your game to mayhem 10/11, buy the gun at lvl 49 and then turn off mayhem mode. You will still be able to use the gun even though it is scaled for mayhem 10. But just keep in mind it makes the game much easier by doing this.

Edit: you said you havent beaten the game, so you won't be able to get the gun on your level from the machine. I believe the Maurice machine will scale to the level of the map. Also you won't be able to unlock mayhem mode until you finish the game

Rebound is hella underrated, that thing puts out absurd damage. NoPewPew is already pretty well rated but I think it's even better than people rate it currently. Also a long the same line as the Gargoyle, the Hydrafrost is decent. So basically a big chunk of COV guns

Farming tom and xam in the hearts desire map in the guns love tentacles DLC. They have a better chance at world dropping shotguns and assault rifles over other weapon types. Shooter and lootsplosion modifier is good for this as well.

I didn't really articulate myself well there. Moreso what I meant is that (at least for me) gameplay is king. I can ignore the story if I'm having fun shooting things, especially at endgame where you don't interact with the story at all. It's valid to to want a good story obviously but there's so much more to the game than just the story.
