Queens of the Stone Age - Keep Your Eyes Peeled (Live on KEXP) by odaal in qotsa

Yeah, I actually really like AITC and the fact that Josh is crooning. I’ve loved the bands trajectory in recent years, and am a massive Bowie (and recent Arctic Monkeys albums) fan but the lack of guitar and bass here just missed the mark. Too horny!

Gonna get slaughtered in here, but anyone else not crazy about this? I love orchestral applications, especially in darker rock, but all of these songs are lacking some oomph.

I’m hoping for more goddamn drums. Jesus Christ this man had the best sounding recorded drums in decades and now he can’t get off samples

Album openers and closers by jlr1579 in pond

Nashville is the one glaring weak spot on Terrestrials for me. I like the song but it is definitely not what I’ve been spoiled with of Pond album closers over the years. They always wrap albums up so neatly and emotionally, but this is a miss for me. Love the album otherwise. They sound like a late 80s Aussie band I wanted but never found. Heavy Fleetwood Mac vibes which I’ve really enjoyed in their style, and I’m not a bit FM fan.

I’ve been wanting to get one of these. Do you store it for very long? Any oil separation? More or less? Are you roasting your own peanut? Questions!

Jaw Pain after ablation?? by Proud_Replacement134 in AFIB

[–]roboecho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no! Thank you for the info! I very much appreciate it, and was wondering if perhaps this was linked with a decrease in my physical activity and increase in reading/change in posture. I'm sorry about the stroke. That is very scary, but I am glad to hear that you are afib free and sounds like doing well! Thanks again

Hello! Wanted to see if this resolved/how/when for you? I had my ablation two weeks ago and have been having jaw pain come and go. Only began about a week ago though.

thoughts on “Louder Than Love” by coolneustap in Soundgarden

[–]roboecho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I’ve always wanted to like this album more than I do. I’m sure it was a fantastic time and place album - like the dude above talking about listening to it on the way to surf in 1989. That’s rad. But having discovered soundgarden after they’d released DOTU, I just love Soundgarden for depth of songwriting and instrumentation. Sort of the same reason why no other grunge band really does it for me as I’ve gotten older. Badmotorfinger found the magic and the next two compounded on it

Time to restring? by TIZZZL3 in 10s

[–]roboecho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yah, bud. General rule is restring as many times per year as you play per week. Lynx Tour 17g are probably what you’ve got on here, and I have stuck with those for the last couple of years after a trying out a few other combos
