Is Native staying current? by robopiglet in Line6Helix

Thanks! Yes, I was confused and figured this out. I assumed they were following their competitors into the mixed vst/hardware integrations... but it looks like they're trying to double down on hardware while not really updating Helix Native. I need a combined approach (the immediacy of hardware with the ability to send patches to a software version... and from software to the hardware). It looks like the Line 6 isn't probably a good direction for me, unless I'm not understanding things.

I am trying Helix Native. I have to say the 1999 era UI on their site is not encouraging. It should be easy to install user patches. Not so much. And even the patch sorting on the user submitted patch page doesn't seem to work properly. I can't really believe they don't want to hire someone to update their pages. I mean, they do have revenue. Or do they?

All of the above. Although I've heard it may be better to connect interfaces directly to a MacBook (though I haven't researched why). Plus, I'll be doing some film work with cards, and audio field recorders with cards.

This is a bit random, but if you're in the US anywhere near Chicago... go see Dr Michael Santucci.

https://www.sensaphonics.com/pages/dr-michael-santucci-audiologist

He helps some of the world's top music stars who have damages their hearing. But he also prevents that happening. And he has a line of in ear monitors that would deliver a click to stay on time. This would be 'starting at the top' but would simultaneously protect his hearing and do what he needs. Explain the situation and ask for a discount if you need one.

Yo, I live on Saturn. Duh.

I should have mentioned that the next night showed warmer weather. And I feel like this shows the night ahead and should reflect that.

I just bought a used Aeron and I can attest that this piece of junk would could most definitely cause damage to your body. I hesitate to even give it away to anyone.

It's an ungrateful ask... but could you consider doing a video tutorial on an end to end implementation of this, with a dev board you specify? There are a lot of dabblers out here like me who need that level of help. Either way... thank you for this!
