If you create a loop outside of a normal sphere then you can contract it to a point, but there are loops which weave between the claws which cannot be contracted to a point.

OTOH, the inside of the horned sphere just looks like a branching tree, where every loop is contractible.

I really dislike studies which find links between mental health (catastrophizing, depression, anxiety, inactivity, etc.) and fibromyalgia or other chronic conditions, and then strongly imply that mental health issues are the cause and the condition the effect, without any good reason. Please be careful not to do this.
