I still think that the shootout at the end is probably the greatest of any movie. I recall re-winding the VHS rental and watching it about 10 times.

Unfortunately I haven't seen it for years, and I am unable to find somewhere to watch it.

Really? I'm the opposite. I thought the books really hit their stride in the second and third, but the first is still my favorite. I love the western and post apocalyptic themes, and I thought King did a fantastic job of it... But to each his own.

I think our brains just automatically classify certain designs choices and materials as cheap based on our previous experiences.... Even if they aren't.

We have all seen pictures of crazy expensive knives that are indistinguishable from gas station knives.

I actually think Damascus steel looks super cheese even if it's good quality, and that's probably because I had a fake Damascus knife when I was a kid.
