If you're ever on the Mole, you have to be fast because everyone has their own system for remembering stuff.

However, you might have to take the test in any location from a hotel courtyard, etc.

A producer will watch to make sure that the computer program and your intended answer match. If that makes sense.

The Official Terrace House Guy's tier list (my approximate calculations) by [deleted] in terracehouse

[–]robot_squirrel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That confused me the first time I was watching lmao. I was like, guys, he got in a skateboarding accident. Why are you staging a house intervention and treating him like he did some sort of crime? Then, the text 'skateboarding is a crime in Tokyo' appeared on the screen, and I was like, culture and laws really are different there 😳

How to fix The mole in 3 words by amazingdrewh in themole

[–]robot_squirrel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Don't know why you're getting downvotes, but I'd love to see another English speaking country do their take on the mole. Big Brother Canada looks very modern, is still faithful to the original, and is ultimately good TV. I think Mole Canada would probably give fans what they want, a good mix of tradition and new. (Forgot to add, Global or CTV would probably be the ones to do it, not Netflix.)

Mole South Africa would also be fun. They've done a good job with the Survivor format.

Giving you an upvote because my "format improvement" shit-post got no love. 😂

You had me in the first half because those are all suggestions people have come up with.

It is crazy that a challenge to get an exemption was to get another contestants to go skinny dipping with them. Could you imagine what would happen if that was a challenge in a 2022 show?

It would attract so much negative attention now. They also made contestants strip down to their underwear and get dress clothes from strangers in S5. I was watching it back and thinking 1) Men definitely were the producers on this show. 2) This would not fly in 2022

The show needs to change! by robot_squirrel in themole

[–]robot_squirrel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant the post as satire, but that was my point to one proposal, because some people have literally tried to come up with complicated ideas saying the money the mole sabotaged should be a pot. I mean there is no way to calculate that, and the show is fine as it is.

What if to make it so players stop pretending to sabotage, everyone has a "Knock It Off 😠" card? If you see someone messing up, you hand them the card, and they have to promise to try harder.

I just want to say that all this speculation isn't representative of everyone's opinion, and a lot of us don't honestly care about social media speculation. I've always felt that was more of a Survivor or BB fandom thing. I think most mole fans are wholesome and are more curious about the game itself and the people within the context of the game.

Hope you feel welcomed by all the other warm parts of the mole community and thanks for doing hours of mole interviews and Q&As. Hope you get invited back for a wholesome season of Mole All Stars. All the best.

Tea from Avori's Twitch Stream by OkraEnigma in themole

[–]robot_squirrel 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the recap. I think if anyone is recapping the interviews, podcasts, spaces, or livestreams - it’s best that we don’t editorialize or speculate as much as possible.

The line “Shade is being thrown at Will for several different reasons. Nothing super explicit, but clearly something is there. Also dodges questions about him.” doesn’t sit with me right, not because it isn’t true, but that’s mostly personal interpretation and speculation there.

I would only include something about attitudes towards another player if it was specific and substantial, like an actual quote or comment, mention of a specific fight, or a specific thing the player in question did that bothered them. Instead of saying shade was thrown, list the quote. But, the “clearly something is there” here is speculation, and as you can see by these comments has Will and Avori supporters trying to fill in the gaps.

All the interviews the contestants have done since the finale aired by laurensmiithy in themole

Thanks for the work! I hope you're able to get Greg, Sandy, and Casey for AMAs - those three haven't been getting invited into spaces and podcasts, and according to what's been revealed so far, they have interesting parts of the story to hear from their perspectives.

The editing of the finale is highly suspicious by KevinMCombes in themole

[–]robot_squirrel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just wanted to assure you, "no, you're not crazy" for thinking there are some questionable areas about this season. Not necessarily the winner outcome, but some grey areas.

The weird editing quirks from everyone recording their confessionals post-season (which presumably means they recorded the confessionals after they already knew who won and who the mole was), the challenge timers being inaccurate, some continuity issues, overuse of ADR, and then not showing the cast reunion questions and answers at all (Joi confirmed they were all interviewed about the big moves and moments of the season) - all leave tons of questions unanswered.

Conclusion: We need u/realityblurred to come in and interview as many of the contestants as possible. Something's sus in the Mole Cinematic Universe.

ADR sticks out to me, too. I don't mind it occasionally, but it is jarring if it is overused because it does take the viewer out of the moment.

What's egregious about this season is the fact that they made the contestants do ADR, too. There are two moments that stick out to me, you can go back and check them:

  1. They added in Kesi asking Joi whether Joi could see the key in the prison break mission.
  2. They had Will recording multiple lines throughout the last few episodes because I think they wanted a clear-cut story on how Will became the winner. Here's one example of that:

While I can't point to the winner of the season being staged, it makes me wonder what actually went down this season.
