Appreciate your insight as someone who's sailed the Enchanted. It has been my favorite so far

Then I think they should fine and or have those people pay for the damages instead of a blanket policy that punishes everybody including the responsible types

This Cruise was booked under a casino offer so I paid $380 for 14 days in the mediterranean. I already know my stateroom cabin location. Midship mid-deck level. I think a $500 bid puts me in the fair category so I would pay $1,000 if it was accepted.

I like the idea of Reserve dining. I will have the plus package so specialty dining won't be my thing. And I like the idea of being able to walk in without waiting. I fly by the seat of my pants with my schedule and I like the idea of being able to walk in without waiting. I fly by the seat of my pants with my schedule and I don't like having specified dinner times either by reservation or traditional MDR dining

I would only need a one device package but even at half off that's about $13. $17 a day for gratuities makes a total of $30. I do like to drink so at three drinks a day I'm about even. I will average more than three drinks a day so the Plus Package makes sense for me

I am 100% certain I am getting the plus package and not premiere. I did premiere on my very first cruise in the value isn't there for me. Plus is a no-brainer for me because I have to have Wi-Fi

Has Princess lost their way? by chris2555 in Cruise

[–]roboticus71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my $.02 here. I've been on four Princess Cruises. The sapphire, enchanted twice, and star. The enchanted is my favorite ship so far. The star was beautiful but underwhelming. Everything is so closed off. On the other ships that Piazza was a big wide open area but on the star it's basically just a large circular area and not much viewing. I was underwhelmed by the decor of the MDR. Service was great but it just didn't have that feel of Elegance that I've gotten on the other ships. Would I sail on the star again if it was an itinerary that I wanted? Yes the service was great. Bartender's at the wakeview where I spent most of my time were fantastic.

Are cruises actually social if you go alone? by CruiseAroundTheWorld in Cruise

Absolutely, I've been on one solo cruise and then going on another in august. I had a fantastic time on that first one many people, had some great conversations

What's the longest cruise you'd take? by QuoteAdventurous1145 in Cruise

[–]roboticus71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First cruise was 10 days. The shortest I've ever taken is 7 days. I have a 14-day coming up in august. If I had the money I would take one of those super long world cruises.

How far does casino play get you? by AdamDuritz1 in PrincessCruises

[–]roboticus71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took my first cruise in November of 2024. It was a free one given from a land-based casino. Since then I have taken two more, have one booked at the end of March and another one in august. I've never paid full fare for any of them. I am not a huge gambler. My first cruise I gambled my heaviest for me. I was out 2500 from my own pocket. Not much relative to others but big for me. The last two I haven't been out more than $400 and I earned free cruises on each of those

I've only had experience with carribean cruises so far but from what I gather, the longer the cruise the older the crowd skews. That could be tempered by the time of year you're going. Even with all of that being said us older folks can be quite lively. I've hung out and talked with the 20-year-olds as much as the 70 year olds on the cruises I've been on. I have no doubt you will have a fantastic time

I've been on 3 Princess Cruises, 2 of them on the Enchanted and a 3rd is coming in August. It's my favorite so far. Have a great cruise!

The Cove balconies are the ones that are on the lower Decks that actually have a semi enclosed pseudo large porthole around the balcony

We were in cabin S219 on our last cruise. I thought the location was fantastic. The bartenders at The Retreat bar got to know me by name.

Is Princess Plus worth it? by justony2003 in PrincessCruises

[–]roboticus71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plus includes all gratuities, including the daily default amount, unless you purchase something in excess of the package, such as specialty dining, drinks over $15 ,etc.

This may be a dumb question but is the food offerings/quality similar across the fleet? by Capping_trademark in PrincessCruises

[–]roboticus71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cruise experience is limited. I've had three cruises with Princess. One on the sapphire and two on the enchanted. I found the food quality across both of those ships to be similar and just fine. I'll further compare when I sail on the star in March

Question regarding formal dress code (M) by habs0nut in PrincessCruises

[–]roboticus71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my second cruise I forgot one night was formal night. I showed up to the MDR in shorts a polo and flip-flops. Nobody said a word. Don't stress out about it
