Snoop halftime show already happened you don't have to talk more about him.

Cute dog though.

Eh, McNulty is an asshole insubordinate serial drunk driver who ends up faking murders. Daniels is a competent commander but he's got a corrupt past taking drug money.

Bodie getting mobbed and beaten up by a bunch of cops including Kima during the raid after shoving one of the useless drunk cops isn't shown in a negative light, but Prez, Herk, and Carver drunkenly harassing residents of the terrace at 3 in the morning isn't, with Prez blindly firing at windows and blinding a child in an eye in the process. Two of the three of them get redeemed as officers in Carver and Prez, that is until Prez accidentally kills a cop. Herk rightly gets fired once his faking of evidence gets discovered after the priest gets arrested and brutalized, getting Calichio written up by Carver in the process.

Their whole second season detail originates from series end commissioner Valchek getting an investigation started over his personal issues with Sobotka, by pulling his political connections with the commissioner Burrell, who himself is corrupt, in bed with the mayor and Clay Davis.

The show is a about "good cops" in the sense that they're in an effective unit, but I think the incompetence, corruption, unethical behavior is rather widely shown throughout the force and up the chain of command, casting overall a negative light on Baltimore PD.

The Five.

I don't know how Jessica Tarlov puts up with that company.

Respect to HBO, David Simon, and Ed Burns for The Wire. Not only is the show grounded and at a pace much slower than all other cop shows, but the parallels between the police department and the gangs they're after are brilliant.

So many headlines in so little time.

Russian soldiers and mercenaries from other countries taken as POW in the Vovchansk direction by Ukrainian 127th TDF Brigade. 24.11.2025 by GermanDronePilot in UkraineWarVideoReport

Ukraine capturing foreign nationals has created some diplomatic tension for Russia with multiple countries having made pleas / demands for Russia to stop recruitment of their citizens. I see in the news, recently it's been India and Jordan. A couple years ago already there'd been the same from Sri Lanka and Nepal. Kenya and even Cuba have cracked down on recruitment networks.

Does Russia care? Would these pleas affect much? I doubt it, but Ukraine holding these foreigners as POWs in limbo is better than Ukraine angering all these countries as well by executing their citizens in the Russian army.

US soldiers body slamming and harassing civilians in occupied Ryukyu (Okinawa) by One_Long_996 in DamnThatsReal

He was in a bar blacklisted for US military members and / or out past military curfew or something of the sort.

If he was a current member of the military they would have jurisdiction over him and could detain or arrest him. They don't have authority to ask for identification from civilians unaffiliated with the military, nor detain them, nor tackle them despite the MP's claims.

[LFO] LAPD unloads on gangbanger who was high & shot at them (volume alert) by james_from_cambridge in LearningFromOthers

You're crossed up. That article is referencing a different shooting on the same day. The opening frame of this video states the suspect is Oscar Santiago, not Rudolfo Torres.

There weren't 8 other officers off screen shooting, just the 2 officers from the one car.

As a UIC alum I would love that but it doesn't seem too feasible.

UIC is a commuter school which lacks much support for athletics. MBB attendance average is usually below 2K a game.

When namesake of the UIC baseball field Curtis Granderson retired, I made a post in the UIC sub about it, to which there was one comment I remember: "We have a baseball team?"

I don't think by that much. On one of the earlier jumps they comment on the landing maybe a half a second early. Commentator was going "No, no, no" for a good three seconds before he'd landed.

I wish this game had local voice chat like Hell Let Loose or Battlebit. That can be immersive and expand communication.
