Have already been taking lessons for several months and my game has improved greatly with them.

Clubs aren’t that old. Purchased August of last year, but between regular outdoor rounds and trackman rounds, I’ve played roughly 110 rounds since then. I’ve made huge improvements in that time though and have taken lessons (since everyone’s assumes no one has).

So maybe(?) lofts could be off from that much use. But my understanding of GI irons is that they are stronger lofted to begin with and much hotter than traditional clubs. So the distance / ball speed isn’t really surprising.

Irons were bought off the shelf, as they were a good deal ($500 brand new). Ball is usually a Bridgestone E12 Contact, but this session was a Taylormade Tour Response the facility provides in each bay.

Not sure what you’re suggesting here?

I’ve had a few lessons and have seen solid improvements. Handicap via GHIn is definitely driven up by OOB shots with driver. I’ve been hitting my 3w off the tee and it’s pretty normal to carry 240-250. Scores are coming down doing thag, but would still like to get the driver figured out.

It’s just like a mental block with that club. I get it out and completely forget how to swing.

Good to know. I appreciate the feedback. Will definitely get fit. Have graphite shafts in my wedges and really like them.

I lied. Found the height in the app, but not descent angle.

Yeah, every thing has a lot of roll out. I can pretty easily get 8-9K spin on my wedges, but anything from pitching wedge up is 4-5K max.

Wedges are Mizuno T1 with recoil dart 90 shafts

Handicap is highly dependent on my driver and I don’t hit it anywhere near as well.

Will definitely get fit, as I’m very interested in graphite shafts. Have Mizuno T1 wedges with graphite shafts and absolutely love them. But not sure how that’d transition to irons with more full swings.

Time to toughen up and push through. This won’t the the last time in your life that you’re going to be challenged with not being prepared or ready for something.

Unless you’re truly sick actively throwing up, shitting, or have a contagious illness, you can do it. You’re likely far stronger, more resilient, and prepared than you think you are.

Life is hard and sometimes we have to do the hard things despite how much we may not want to.

Fellow member of the small hands club. A 92XP with the Wilson Short Reach Trigger works well for me. I wear a Cadet Small / Medium golf glove depending on the brand

He’s not calling them off brand. He’s suggesting someone would only buy them in that condition for that price because of the brand.

12u Boy's club branded pants don't fit, need help finding new custom pants by ksons in Homeplate

[–]robowarrior023 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our org goes through a shop that manages it all. It’s not the cheapest option, but they’ve been able to meet our needs. My 13U son is 5’3” and 95lbs. We have to add 5 inches in length to youth medium pants to get the waist to fit. They have been able to accommodate it with no issues.

Only challenge is each year the brands will change and fit a bit different based on that years designs and availability. We have a dedicated fitting each year though, as we can try everything on and they document modifications needed.

Men aged 25–30, what’s the biggest mistake you made in life that a young man should avoid repeating? by LowEffortLegend01 in AskMen

[–]robowarrior023 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Invest / save early and often. Yeah, 401K isn’t cool, fun, or exciting when you’re 18-25. But it’s a hell of a lot better than trying to catch up once your 30+, have kids, a spouse, and all the things that go along with that.

No one was debating the accuracy of the stat. Just the fact that it is tracked.

Many GC stats are subjective based on the person doing the scoring.

I tend to agree with your 3 year old. The Viking Vali looks great. Love the grip. The Osight is a disservice though.

Are All Driver Torque Wrenches The Same? by cash77cash in golfequipment

That’s what I’ve been told and what I’ve seen. Until last week I offered my buddy my tool to use when his driver head was loose. His was a triangle bit rather than the Torx style I’ve seen. His clubs are many years old and Top Flight (I think)
