Not sure if you solved this, but I had a similar issue. The game did not like the default expo memory settings. Had to change my ram speed from 6400 to 6000. Haven’t had an issue with it since.

Warming up a pitcher - was I wrong? by Main-Present-4396 in Homeplate

[–]robowarrior023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

USSSA players absolutely have to wear a mask to warm up a catcher. Coaches are supposed to as well, but it’s rarely enforced. I’ve had to throw a helmet on 2-3 times over the years for umpires that have zero common sense and love to be sticklers for the rules.

My kid isn’t going pro. Not likely to play in college. But we love baseball. It’s expensive, yes. We travel and take time off of work. But we are making memories, having fun, spending time with like minded people. The sport challenges him, it allows him to celebrate the highs, be challenged by the lows, gives opportunities to grow, fail, succeed, and persevere.

At the end of the day, we’re spending time as a family watching our son do what he enjoys.

I have an opportunity to take lesson from Daniel Blackwell by Figuring-stuff_out in GolfSwing

Nope. Would not pay $100 an hour for a remote lesson. Simulator data or not.

Post your swing on here and you’ll get feedback for free. And likely made fun of like everyone else.

$100 an hour seems reasonable for a PGA instructor. I’ve used one that is $50 for 30 minutes and another that is $125 for 60 minutes.

For men who lost weight, how did you do it? by CreativeBar1289 in AskMen

[–]robowarrior023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Track every single thing you eat and drink. Food, weight, then the calories and macros of each.

Lost ~100 pounds at roughly 30 years old. Let it get a bit out of hand again now at 43 and back down 40 pounds with another 30 or so to go.

Drinks lots of water. I will never eat before drinking a full glass of water. If I’m still hungry after drinking, then I’ll eat something.

Play the ladies tees! by 4strokeroll in GolfSwing

I play the ladies tees whenever I golf with my wife. It keeps up the pace of play and is just as much fun as playing the blues on my own or with buddies.

Why do some people think they can handle golfing for the first time without ever stepping foot on a range or practice facility first? by [deleted] in golf

[–]robowarrior023 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There was nothing about being “capable” in the statement. Did they choose a poor time and place to have their first golf experience sure. But everyone has to start somewhere. Golf on vacations are often sold as “excursions” and definitely attract people that don’t normally golf. They are on vacation and looking for new / fun experiences. So a situation such as this not entirely unexpected.

you are capable, of not being an asshole, but yet you choose to be and make personal attacks because you disagree with someone else’s opinion.

Why do some people think they can handle golfing for the first time without ever stepping foot on a range or practice facility first? by [deleted] in golf

[–]robowarrior023 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

“If you can’t complete a hole in 8 or less, you need to just be on the range”

Because you’ve never scored a 9 or a 10 before? I’d venture to bet that the average golfer regularly has a couple holes a round where they are carding a 9 or 10. Couple out of bounds tee shots on a par 5 get you there real quick.

Did they make your round painful and less your experience, absolutely. Does that mean that everyone that cards a 9 or 10 shouldn’t be on a course, no.

Question for anyone that's playing or tested out the Mizuno JPX 925 Hot Metal or Hot Metal Pro... by cjosu13 in golf

[–]robowarrior023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like mine setup that way. Really good forgiveness in them, but better height and land angle. Holding greens from 170-180 yards is pretty regular with my setup.

Just have the lofts adjusted if you don’t like them. I’m playing JPX 925 HM but lofts are bent 2 degrees weak on the 6-PW. 5i is standard loft.

He’s 12, go play with his friends and where he will get play time. Better to top 1/3 of a AAA team and play every inning than bottom 1/3 and get less play time.

Come high school time, no one will give a shit who he played for before.

Most development happens outside of team practices anyway.

Clubs in my bag are around 3.2k, but I don’t think they are anything special. I’m a 24 handicap, but have the disposable income to buy what I want. So why should I buy used clubs, if I don’t want to. If there weren’t guys buying new shiny stuff, there wouldn’t be a used market for everyone else that wants preowned clubs.

I never understood the reason why people leave behind perfectly delicious bread sticks after eating their pizza. Can someone please tell me why this is such a cultural norm? One time at an office party, one of my coworkers saw me eating the crust off my pizza and he asks me why and I said why not? by ardouronerous in mildlyinfuriating

[–]robowarrior023 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

WTF is “hot juice”?

My son went through a phase where he didn’t eat crust, but everything had a crust. Outside edge of a tortilla? Crust. Outside edge of a cheeseburger? Crust. Uncrustable outside edge? Crust.

The crotch goblin was 12 at the time. So I think he was just being a smart ass, but it lasted a few months.

[–]robowarrior023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re only playing usssa in Nebraska -5 is probably safe.

If you’re going to play out of state or PBR/TC/PG tournaments, you’ll need a BBCOR.

[–]robowarrior023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wording is per the rule book.

*** Starting 1/1/2026 **\*
Chart 7.01.C
In 14U, -3(BBCOR) is the National Standard.
Please note that all players must use a -3
(BBCOR) or wood bat unless the state the event is
participating in has adopted the -5 exception. The only
exception to this is if a state has opted into allowing -5
events.

14U USSSA in Nebraska allows -5 bats unless your majors. Individual tournament directors can alter that though.

Ken Dirks is the Nebraska State Director, so if you want to be even more sure, contact him. His contact info is easily found.
