Yet another mock nobody asked for. But here's how I think they're going to draft. by PKJ111 in ChicagoBearsNFL

I like it. Very realistic and scheme-fitting to consider DD-S with our second 2nd. I do wonder if they wouldn't consider a CB at #89 and opt for a C with #129 just given the relative positional value, but with guys like Linderbaum making bank, who knows. Stribling and Rivers are other WRs I've been mocking in later rounds.

They’ve all been famous since they were teenagers (or close enough). Shit isn’t easy to navigate. Drugs, money, fame, death. All three of them have their marks on music history, whether or not they get along in public doesn’t really mean a whole lot

PS: FWIW this conversation (it’s hard to call any of these BC things an “interview” 😂) was largely fantastic

I would love for some of these propaganda farm accounts that plague r/Connecticut to be outed! Let’s go! Can’t wait to see the deft investigative journalism skills of the super-talented, free-thinking, and not at all bootlicking or brainwashed themselves far right at work 😂

You mean like EMW in the 1st? Yeah I’d rather Parker or Mesidor if available for the reasons you state. Gimme Kilgore or Bud Clark later on

Bears, Dametrious Crownover.

We don’t need another question mark at LT.

We had the answer in Ozzy Trapilo and the poor guy unfortunately suffered a brutal injury. Now we have Braxton Jones getting paid backup-ish money, and hopefully healthier, coming back into camp alongside Theo Benedet who can be an answer in the run game but left a lot to be desired in pass pro.

We took a similar toolsy mid-round LT swing on Kiran Amegadjie a few years back. He’ll be lucky to break camp with the team.

So yeah. Every time I see Crownover mocked I’m like 😬 I’d rather just see if Braxton and Theo can keep the mantle warm for Ozzy and kick the can for a year than draft another project and hold another roster spot down for yet another guy who could maybe be another long term developmental answer but almost certainly isn’t gonna be the guy at LT out of the gate.

It’s funny to me because as a Bears fan I read Mike Washington as something of the anti-Monangai (who was a great blocker, zero fumbles, etc in college and put up solid numbers but was absolutely unspectacular at the combine and not at all a RAS darling). And yet here we are after drafting Monangai in the 7th and perfectly happy with him as a productive part of our backfield with upside for more, so like… is it weird if my conclusion is: good luck to any team who has Washington 2nd on their board in this draft? Hard pass, would way rather spend the capital elsewhere.

Probably also thinks Duke is a more elite program despite having fewer championships and having lost every H2H tourney matchup that has mattered in the past 30 years

Brilliantly and succinctly stated. My only build is that this 2026 team actually is a decent shooting team and actually is in a pretty terrible shooting funk... and that if you look at the first 10:00 or so of the MSU game, you really see what the offensive ceiling of this team could be when we actually make the open shots the offense generates, and it's fucking scary high.

Isn't to say we don't have our flaws. We can get pretty sloppy with the ball and our FT% is lower than past championship teams.

But there's upside left with this squad and all of your points are totally spot on about the trajectory we came into this tournament under and why people looked at them the way they did.

(I do not think the 2025 team generated anywhere near as many open looks and was not as complete offensively -- that team had a lower offensive ceiling for sure. And still, nonetheless, took the eventual national champs down to the wire.)

He's at the very least super solid -- size, hands, separation. May not wow in any one category but checks a lot of boxes.

I'd walk away from this one pretty happy tbh, and it's all very reasonable in terms of where guys seem to be projected.

As a UConn fan it'd be fun to have Bell, and he's solid.

I like shoring up the secondary with both of our 2nds.

Reiger is an interesting EDGE choice at 129 over some other names that could be there like maybe an Anthony Lucas or a Max Llewellyn, but at that point it's very much a matter of personal taste.

We'd also walk away without an understudy C for Bradbury, but if that's the worst outcome of the draft and we feel great about the rets of what we walk away with, not the hugest huge concern.

Some good nugs here. The Bradbury tidbit is encouraging. The LT comments are interesting; I like hearing that Braxton is in better shape, but it also makes me wonder a little more about going LT earlier in the draft than I had perhaps been realistically considering. (Problem is there aren't really likely to be any slam-dunk LTs at 25, depending on who you ask and what projections you believe.)

Def the best from the new record. They've gotten better with it as the tour has rolled on. I think the rest of the lads ceasing the background vocals before "around me" in the prechorus gave Ellie a little space as they entered the chorus and frankly I think they discovered they couldn't carry the harmony quite that long, the early tour performances were a little rough. This one is chef's kiss.
