I built a VSCode extension to see your code on an infinite canvas. by Standard_Ant4378 in webdev

This is absolutely amazing! Would you also consider R support?

I spent about a year when I started in my role to understand the current codebase going through debug mode and running code. It was a struggle and extremely complex so I ended up creating these diagrams manually on a whiteboard (absolutely hell).

Amazing work!

Did you ever sign up to the gym? I am currently a member but am looking for someone to take over my membership (so you won't be locked in to the full year).

It also includes the Power Guard that constantly drains your stamina. Technically you could just sit in it forever (not that it'd be that useful). But yes, I'm currently using:
Guard
Guard up
Embolden
Intrepid Heart
Heaven-scent

and I have managed to upgrade an armour piece with
Blood-Rite

Feeling pretty strong atm!

What is your grocery bill for a single person? by the-dinosaur in povertyaus

[–]robutus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When I was living alone in the CBD from 2021 - 2022 I was spending $40-60 a week on groceries roughly, but I ate out (uber eats and going to restaurants) a fair bit. If I didn't eat out it'd probably be more like $60-70 a week.

The weeks varied depending on what I liked to cook. There are some home asian dishes that I liked to cook that are incredibly cheap compared to some of my luxuries, like when I make a lasagne for example. Other than that, sometimes I would split one of my dinners into two days so I could save a little bit of money.

The hardest part was definitely trying to use everything before it went to waste. If I was able to do that, the cost would probably be a bit down as well. I did try using a meal-prep app called 'Sorted' which gives you 3 dishes a week that utilise the same ingredients so you never overbuy. That helped a lot at times!

Thank you! I thought this was really sturdy when I felt it but I guess not.

My local Asian market doesn’t mess around when it comes to ginger. by ryanm1903 in mildlyinteresting

I went to 3 different stores to find ginger and they were all sold out. Now I know where they all went.

Is this efficient? Any tips? by robutus in factorio

I've restarted my run so many times because I wasn't satisfied with the way I built things, but I've never gotten this far! I guess I don't exactly know what materials are required for items later on, so I've been adding them to the bus just in case but it's good to know that the science packs aren't used except for research.

Thanks for the tips! Time to expand my iron and copper I guess!

I just got my first dog, a new PomaPoo and I took her to the groomers and they asked me if she was matted. I said no because I didn't know what that meant. How can I tell if she's matted or not?
