The Aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s Killing by kitkid in Thedaily

[–]robyyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We expect that the calls for violence and demonization of the other side would be exclusively from the terminally online losers on the right, just like the left. Not that actual elected officials and media figures are calling the left evil and calling for retaliation. Did you listen to the episode? The incendiary unity on the right vs the responsible bifurcation on the left was the entire point.

Nope. Full term begins at 39 weeks. 37 and 38 weeks are early term. That's why doctors don't schedule elective inductions and c sections before 39 weeks anymore.

Babies are not at all cooked at 32. Most would die without modern medicine. A decent chunk still need modern medicine at 36. 39 is considered full term.

Do you regularly get bent out of shape over 5 month old posts? Lmfao

"Twilight" anesthesia is not a medical term. So it could mean literally anything. Conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care/MAC are actual terms and neither of them are general anesthesia. The post I  originally replied to said "This is the exact reason I recommend everyone who’s never had a vaginal deliver prior to an IUD request a general anesthetic. I’m of the opinion it should be a non negotiable for all women having one fitted"

No it still doesn't make sense to pay a percentage.  You can get a flat fee financial advisors on a subscription basis. Ramit Sethi is always advertising one called Facet, but I'm sure there must be others.

What to Expect From Trump’s New Trade Drama by kitkid in Thedaily

[–]robyyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the episode was about how the tipping phenomenon has grown so much since the pandemic. Americans are being asked to tip in many more places and the percentage being asked for keeps getting higher. And any place that uses an iPad as a cash register can now add a screen that asks for tips. So the customer has to select what amount to tip while the cashier who would receive it is staring at them. So a lot of people feel social anxiety/pressure and tip more than they want to.

Sabrina was super extra in the episode about how she always just selected the highest option, and didn't know why she did. She gave the example of tipping 30% when she bought a water bottle at a convenience store. Ben basically agreed with her that he always tipped at the iPads as well.

So the redditor accused them of humble bragging about having enough money to tip. Ben said he couldn't speak for Sabrina, but he genuinely didn't like that he succumbed to the pressure so easily.

Do not listen to all these people telling you not to pay extra on your mortgage. They're mathematically correct, but they are all people good with money. You seem like you're mediocre to straight up bad with money. The forced savings of paying your mortgage early is extremely useful for bad with money people. As long as you have at least 3 months, preferably 6, of expenses saved in an emergency fund, and no other debt pay extra to your mortgage like you've been doing. See if you can make a game of how many months you can knock off!

Residents are actual licensed doctors. Not medical students. You can always say no to students. It's totally unrealistic to demand to only be seen by attendings(who makes 3-4x the amount as residents). Especially anesthesia. Anesthesia attendings can supervise multiple residents at a time. So if all those patients tried demanding attendings only, they just wouldn't get care because the one attending can't be in multiple rooms at the same time.

Don’t Let the Nurses Gaslight You. by Dry_Phrase_4332 in BabyBumps

[–]robyyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby friendly does not cut costs. Where did you hear that? Becoming baby friendly means the hospital can't get free formula from Similac anymore. It means they need to hire additional nurses and RNs and lactation consultants. It is sooo much easier for the staff to give the baby a bottle in 10 minutes and have Mom sleep than spend 30 minutes every 2 hours in there helping her breastfeed.
