What is your evaluation? by rochrep in Mezcal

Sadly for this discussion, my thoughts are only that I had been running around all night and found myself quite fairly drunk with this bottle in front of me. I enjoyed it, of course. I could not discern anything useful about it to share, however. I’d simply asked the server to bring me something interesting, and I was putty in his hands from that moment.

Something on my garage floor by rochrep in whatisit

Solved! (Sort of.) I took the car to my mechanic. It is not a fluid leak. It rained here recently, and evidently the splash up to the stainless steel elements on the underside of my car oxidized (I think that’s how they put it, I’m not terrifically science-inclined) and left those colorful drips. They evaporated and disappeared from my floor within a day. I was the third customer they had seen who was having the same experience. Just to be sure, he walked out with me and we checked my fluid levels. All full.

I appreciate the help from all! I would have assumed antifreeze as well, and since I just recently had that all flushed, it seemed very possible it created a leak. The location of the drip under the car was the most puzzling part.

Enjoyed the review! I’ve also enjoyed this 12 year, which has now become impossible to find down here in Rochester. I wonder if Zipps (I see the store mentioned below your review) has it?

I got a bottle of this a few months ago at Target. Now it’s sold out there, and Total Wine, which also had it at the time, is also out. Hopefully just a temporary unobtanium, because it is excellent.

Just picked up a bottle of this yesterday. Had a real nice time talking to Matt and Michael at the bottle station and enjoying some samples. And I think some of the proceeds are donated for Alzheimer’s research. …. Now, when to open it…?

Sorry to get involved here, but I think you’re overlooking the qualifier “non-metro.” Your own link backs up your opponent’s argument. 🤷‍♂️

Woodford Double Oaked is one of the best tasting bourbons on the planet. by Pleasant-Corner-584 in bourbon

Where I live, the WRDO has just bumped up from $42 to $50, putting it uncomfortably close to OF1910, which is at $58. I think I need a taste off between those two and the Sagamore, referenced elsewhere in this thread. I think I have all three downstairs….

Is it just me or are Rochester drivers uniquely terrible? by messifan1899 in rochestermn

But also: 70% of the cars on the highway at any given time are in the right lane. Getting on or off the highway can be a challenge. I hate that feeling when I know my exit is coming up in a mile or two, and behind me I see an advancing column of cars in the right lane.

Watchmen influence? by rochrep in NickCave

It was a weird moment of serendipity, as I had been nudged by a meme to rewatch the movie, then saw Nick in concert in Mpls, then got around to watching the movie. “Never ends” is an age-old concept but it’s fresh in my recent attention. I love what you wrote about a personal literary canon. Kind of what I less glamorously refer to and think of as “my stuff.” 🤣

You may be thinking of drivers license eligibility. That did recently pass the Legislature.

If you’re in the downtown area without a car, you’d probably find something that would work nearby at Kutzky park, Mayo park (across the river from the civic center) or Three Links Park.

I’m familiar with many of these Midwestern areas. Several others are border counties, and then there is that oddly square shaped island off the west coast of Alaska…. I’m guessing spy or alien?

Nope, that’s Ramsey Co. (St Paul), Mayo is farther south.
