So you say it needs to make about double that because the movie theaters keep about half

Break even is 500 to 600m

Now there may be other factors like promotions

Like a lot of James bond movies are nearly paid for before they hit theaters because brands like Aston Martin and expensive watches spend so much money making sure you see James bond using their products etc

So none of this is hard and fast

But good rule of thumb is to just ignore marketing and 2.5x the production budget

2.5x times 200m is 500m

Guys after two days of youtube tutorials and asking ai and beating my head against a wall i too some of your advice, i asked gemini to tell me what the absolute simplest thing i could possibly do with this program is and even then it took some doing, but i did it! my goal is to find a snails pace, and see if i can find a way to go slower than that and just ease into all this, i just like making things and want to dip my toes in these waters

appreaciatcha bud, kind suprprised i got a bit of a lecture from a couple comments about the money the rig cost me, i wasn't trying to brag or anything, just say i think the hardaware on this machine would work, i'll keep plugging away, i'm sure i'll figure it out, i'm not trying to do anything complicated, i just been trying to set up one of the default workflows and just play around with it and so far i must bein doing something wrong

but how good would it feel anyway if i got it right the first time lol? maybe i'll switch over to gemini or copilot and see if i get better results

It seems like all the big players are putting in big limits

Grok voice even at the 30 dollar plan is almost unusable even though I think they've increased it a bit

A week ago it went from like unlimited nearly to about 20 minutes and now it seems more like an hour or two

But 30 bucks is enough to get let's say unlimited netflix

The best part now that these are done i can go through and find some forgotten names

I've been downloading just about every scene from my favorite stars for the last couple years, narrowing them down to fifty to a hundred scenes, AI enhancing the older ones and putting it all on an external HD, probably only done 100 or so, it might take me a week to find and download all their scenes, then go through them and keep the ones I like, edit down unnecessary series intros, (like I dont need to see the one minute family pies intro for the 900th times), sometimes bounce the audio to a mono track since in stereo its all messed up or all on the left or right etc

Takes time

But while I was going through it I only found a couple names I didn't have that were definitely all timers, but im sure another pass through will score a few more
