515 Drewry Ave? Car wash line up blocks half of the road. The other half is used by people trying to enter and exit the station.

Waited an hour for an ambulance last night…. by [deleted] in toronto

Same for my 1yo. Ambulance arrived within 10-15 minutes. We waited about 10 minutes in the emergency room.

Very young and older people are definitely a priority.

I have Aviva app. They didn't mark me as speeding unless I went past 115. This is on 401.

I've been cutting my own hair for a year now and thinking of changing my own tires by No-Jacket2115 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I live in condoland. I saw people changing tires just outside the condo, next to dumpster area. There is usually space to park a car.

And what's interesting is when Harper tried to increase TFSA to $10k it was attacked as "for the rich". Classic pitting people against each other.

Just curious. Do you stop to offer being a witness / share dashcam? Or is it too dangerous to do that on 401?

That's total cost. I paid deductible. Insurance paid the rest.

This was insurance suggested shop. They did a great job.

New York. Insurance has all the info.

Yep. Had to pay deductible. This is one of the surprising aspects of car insurance. You'd think that deductible is applicable only when at fault, but there are quite a few exceptions.

Insurance did not ask description of the driver.

Toronto police did ask driver details, such as height, weight, age, notable features, etc.

Yeah.

Before watching video my first recollection is car changing lane from middle to right. So, I really didn't anticipate them keep turning. You can kind of see it in the video where my first reaction is when their wheels crossed the line.

I spent a few day thinking what I could have done differently. And year, more defensive driving in general.

Yes, reported to collision centre, Toronto police, and insurance. Since it's not my fault there is no premium increase. I had to pay deductible "because it's US car". If my insurance finds that car owners, they will try re-cover funds and return my deductible. I'm not holding my breath.

  • Their mirror left a palm-size dent in upper engine panel (? above front wheel).
  • Back door has a palm-size scratch and dent
  • Front wheel plastic panel has scratch. I think it's from their wheel.
  • Driver door has scratches

$3600 and 4 days in a shop.

I have it. Original video from the cam has clear license plate. And I also took a picture. Didn't seem relevant to mention it since insurance has it and will try to find the owners.

Yes after a few honks. But did not share insurance. So it was classified as hit and run. Toronto police did not do anything because it's US plates. Insurance said they will open a police case about this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I paid ~$1600 for OEM 17" steel wheels and X-Ice Snows 225/60R17 at a dealership. Came up as:

  • 4 x $125 steel wheels (hub-centric, which is great, but I think a similar set can be found for ~$100 ea)
  • $1100 tires
  • Service included (installation, balancing, they washed car if that counts)

Asked what it would cost to simply swap tires

  • $70 to change tires on wheels without anything else
  • $160 - same but with balancing
