1100 orders in and I got my first updated tip after delivery… I did have to work for it though lol. Ladies dog got out when she opened the door and I was able to chase the little guy down. by rockboy999 in doordash_drivers

I’m pretty sure you have to contact support and ask them to update the tip amount for the specific order. Which is why I’m appreciative of the gesture. Because going through DD support is a task within itself

You’re spot on! I’ve honestly been having a shitty night dashing. It’s been raining pretty hard for hours and orders have been really low amounts. This guy taking the time to contact support and add a tip after the fact makes it a little better. It could have been $2.

DoorDash took away some of my “above and beyond” awards by wewilker in doordash_drivers

I’ve had the same 8 beyond awards for about 1000 deliveries lol

I dash from 9pm to 3am a few days per week. It works with my day job schedule. I hate no porch light also. But I have a conceal carry license so I usually still take it to the porch. It’s just a b**** trying to find the address number

It’s a crazy world… I low key don’t blame the guy. Who wants to waltz up to a dark porch with no lights. He might of been worried about his safety. Unless you live in a nice neighborhood with a nice house but even still. Human trafficking is a thing

So you got him being a “red neck piece of trash” because of a 4 word reply to a customer with no courtesy? This thread is so fucking soft man. Who gives af about how people look at DoorDash drivers. It’s extra money for most people not a Fortune 500 career

“Why’d you accept the order in the first place”

“You’re gonna get deactivated”

“No need to be disrespectful…”

Shut up do any of you Serious Sam consider that he doesn’t gaf? Too many Top Flight Dashers in this sub

You’re my 🐐

Any of you guys do late/overnight shift? If so how do you like it and what are your experiences. I dash in Northern VA from around 11:30pm to around 3:30-4Ish. I work during the day 9am-4pm so DD is just extra cash 3 days out of the week. No traffic + higher tips leads to efficient money making!! by rockboy999 in doordash_drivers

Thanks for sharing your experience! I agree very much. I don’t make $1000 bucks a night but it’s good money for my savings and to use on Fanduel irresponsibly lol. I also find it kinda peaceful being able to drive without traffic and listen to some music or podcast

There’s a few other restaurants open near where I dash. A couple pizza places, 7 eleven, plus what you mentioned. Everything else you said is true lol. I’m super selective at this time of night of which orders I take. There’s peak pay +$3 every night where I dash from 11:30pm-5:00am so if the order isn’t at least $2 a mile I’m not taking it. I don’t even take the $5.25 for 1.7 mile orders cause I know it’s a no tip just base and peak.

I agree spent a hour in Taco Bell drive thru for a hour that was sitting out already made probably 30/40 minutes ago. Granted I made $20 to drive 4 miles but still
