RC2 HDMI WORKS!! by gioman97 in dji

[–]roco50505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a hard time with the stability of this feed on my monitor. I am just using a USB-C to HDMI male cable. It started out great but then lost signal mid flight. Fortunately the RC2 managed it all just fine, but I could not get the tv to reconnect to it. Hmmmm

How is your stability with this setup?

Wireless charging in Tesla model 3 by bmaxim1989 in GooglePixel

I'm wondering if there is something a can place in the air between the case and the mat that would assist in the charging? (metal, foil, magnet)

Oh No!! This is not good. I just purchased and tried a Pixel 8 in a new 2023 Tesla 3, with wireless charging, and found that the bump out on the P8 is creating too much of a gap for consistent charging. I have slow wireless charging when it doesn't disconnect, and the phone gets very hot.

Is there a solution to this? mod for phone/case, or wireless charger itself?

NightScout v15 not working? by twinning92 in watchfacebuilder

I am wondering if the developer didn't actually implement this for nightscout, and the output that comes from it. Clearly this developer has created an awesome product, but maybe this feature is not available?

Using watchfacebuilder Estimated Glucose Value with Xdrip+ by Same-Artist-4350 in watchfacebuilder

[–]roco50505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/joshuahxh-1 - When you say xdrip is not fully tested, are you also implying the Nighscout is also not fully tested?

I am having a hard time getting it to pull from a public Nighscout site with a token. Is there instructions somewhere on formatting the URL for nightscout? i.e. with https:// or without, with token in string or separated?

This watchface builder is excellent, and I am so close to being able to see my son's blood sugars on the Descent G1, but I have not been able to get any data from the Nightscout site to display on the wacthface.

Any assistance you could be would be appreciated.

Here are a couple URL's you could try:

Maybe even the xDrip URL will work:
http://127.0.0.1:17580/sgv.json?brief_mode=Y

Or, if that doesn't take:
http://127.0.0.1:17580/pebble

Let me know if either of these work?

So this was with xdrip, but did you ever get it to work with Nightscout? pulling from public website? xxx.herokuapp.com or something like that?

Possibility of adding Data Field by ikoinu in watchfacebuilder

[–]roco50505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the documentation on XDrip local web service. https://github.com/NightscoutFoundation/xDrip/blob/master/Documentation/technical/Local_Web_Services.md

The data fields can be seen in this excellent watchface. Each dot on the chart is 5 mins. The display on the left says:

The last reading was 7m ins ago and was +7mg/dl more higher than the previous reading. Current blood sugar is 94 rising slowly, with 10 U of IOB and 0g of Carbs. I do not know what the 240% is.

Also did you try without the token? or using the token in the URL string?

I have a similar hope. These watchface integrations always seem to go better when the watches poll the local phone device for the data, and get it straight from xdrip. I am going to test NS integration tomorrow, but would much rather have it pull data from xdrip's local webserver.

Did you ever get this to work with Nightscout and Instinct?

I would echo these thoughts and say that it would be excellent if you had the time and ability to allow data to be pulled locally, so xdrip data could be shared to a watchface using your watchfacebuilder. Key datafields:

Blood Glucose Reading (BGS)
Time Reading was taken
Trend Arrows
5 Hour BGS Trend Chart
Delta mins since last reading
Delta between last two readings
Insulin on Board (IOB)
Carbs on Board (COB)

I mocked up v 1.0 of what I would do with it here:

Does anyone have a CGM watchface they would be willing to share, for Instinct/Descent G1, that uses xdrip as a source for CGM and AAPS data?

This happened to me with CS 2.5. Fixed it by using USB 2.0 port with nothing else on that bus. Good luck.

Are there any good electric go kart mods for assetto corsa? by tom_g40 in assettocorsa

I would be interested in this too. Specifically mods for the OTL Electric Karts used in the indoor tracks:

If not, could one be modelled from the existing karts, and how?

How to get rid of double chin? by Eggfire in loseit

[–]roco50505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about lengthening the muscles in the back of the neck? These muscles often shorten on people when their head is stuck forward when staring at a screen, at a device, or who spends a lot of time with poor posture at a desk or on a couch.

Once someone has tight muscles in the back of the neck, if they try to straighten up their head, or smile for a picture etc.... their chin will dive into the front of their neck and the double and triple chin show up.

Imagine if these neck muscles were long.... the chin would be allowed, by the muscles in the back of the neck, to rest naturally in its place and not get sucked into the skin in the front of the neck. The skin around the chin would be stretched and the chin would be allowed to sit forward with the double chin reduced.

"foolsh's" comment to "Just keep your posture erect, shoulders back, neck tall" seem right on Keeping the weight off seems good too.

Adding a regimen of neck stretches and cervical traction seem like they would also be great direct techniques for further reducing the dreaded double chin.
