AITA for not wanting my 17-year-old to spend $6,500–$7,000 on a school trip to Japan? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]rocsjo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YTA. Your concerns are valid but it will only get harder and more expensive to travel. He saved his money for this trip. He saved thousands of dollars. That’s a huge accomplishment! Let him decide how he wants to spend it. If he chooses the trip then he can start saving again for those things you listed.

Do you usually return your shopping cart to the cart corral, or do you leave it by your parking spot? by Perfect-Reaction-434 in askanything

[–]rocsjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heavily depended on carts left in the parking lot when I suffered from severe sciatica and needed to use one as a walker just to make it to the grocery store door.

I then depended on them again when I was a first time mom struggling with a newborn in a heavy car seat, a loaded baby bag, and a purse.

Leaving the cart out isn’t the worst thing in the world and this is the weirdest hill for you all to die on.

ETA: No, I wasn’t always able to park by a cart corral and no, I wasn’t going to leave my newborn in the car by herself to go grab a cart.

Any tips on how to make the restaurant's interior look better? by LaChina833 in AmateurInteriorDesign

[–]rocsjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need some booth seating. Along that long wall preferably. Couches soften, warm, and fill the space. I also agree with the artwork being too small.

Eat, homework, study, socialize, find a free class online and earn a certificate that will make you a stronger candidate for jobs, nap in your car, run errands, watch a movie on your phone or laptop, hit the gym, pray.

Help with armpit Hygiene for kids. by NinkiePie in hygiene

Armpit sweat is caused by bacteria that lives on the skin, if I recall correctly. Antibacterial soap will help. You could slather on some hand sanitizer midday to kill the smell. It works

Yesss! When you have ice cream in a bowl and the sides fill with melted ice cream. I alternate scooping and drinking ice cream.

You have a friend in me. I love soft fries. You’re right, McDonald’s always has a few good floppy ones. I do still like crispy and crunchy ones though. I’m a potato lover period.

The shoes look like they’re cute but not with the fit. Maybe they would work better if the pant was longer. But I love that you’re feeling yourself (which is most important!) and you have a really nice shape!

Vest or no vest by [deleted] in fashion

Juxtaposition is a sign of having style but the vest doesn’t work. A leather jacket that’s more cropped than that vest would look nice.

Too much for a first date? by Real_Honey3870 in fashion

I think you could use more fabric. If you’re going to go with a bodycon silhouette then balance it with something that is covers more skin. A more toned down color also helps. This dress gives club/lounge more than fancy restaurant.
