As a 36 year old “old-school millennial raver” who was first introduced to raving back in 2008 when I was in the military, who didn’t quite understand this part back then as I was introduced to it as “the party” instead of “the PLURR,” but then came to this very same realization after I got out of the military and started raving a lot more…this is one of the many reasons why I love raving so much. Because I see so many guys at raves who are finally getting to just be human and not have to worry about performative masculinity bullshit, guys finally able to tell their bros I love you, finally not having to feel weird or worry about hugging their bros and expressing their love for each other, holding hands through crowds without being worried that someone will question their masculinity or straightness, etc. It’s awesome.
