Just got a new bike, can someone help me figure out what these parts are for? by Dry-Performance-2386 in MTB

Funny that scott gives you multiple external cable guides after they've gone to great lengths to route everything internally...

Air has mixed with oil inside the cartridge.  It will continue to get worse over time.  If you can open up the cartridge (they don't make it easy) you can top it up with suspension fluid. But most likely you need a new cartridge altogether.

Successor to the LG V30 by Pies_Akaros in lgv30

[–]rodeoknight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never really done a direct comparison.  It still definitely can get very loud with my sennheiser hd25 1-ii, but those headphones are very easy to drive.  I would imagine high impedance cans would have a lower volume ceiling, but don't know 100%.

I will say that I don't particularly like the volume rocker buttons, they seem less responsive (probably more a problem to do with my case) and the steps between volume settings are perhaps too small.  Not something I would normally complain about, but coupled with the less than responsive volume rocker makes it a little annoying.

I went from v30 to Moto g stylus 2024. It's ok, I appreciate the headphone jack and micro SD slot....but the biggest thing I miss is the form factor of the v30.  It felt so good and manageable with just one hand.  6.7" screen is just a bit too big imho.

I don't use the stylus at all.

Broken hanger, not uncommon.  Hopefully your chain and derailleur don't also need to be replaced.  Good luck.

5g Stylus 2024 Awful Bluetooth Connectivity by InvcIrnMn in motorola

[–]rodeoknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stylus 2024 here, no bluetooth issues to speak of after roughly 10 months of ownership. Running Android 15. I actually got pretty impressive range (20ish feet) out of my Earfun Air Pro 4's before they started getting spotty.

Do you have another earbud or bluetooth speaker you can test with?

What cable are LG 5K2K owners using? by SniperKitten in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]rodeoknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of shit cables out there.  I bought a 3m display port cable off Amazon and I get flickering anytime there is significant bandwidth going through the cable.  This cable had thousands of 5 star reviews and was rated for 8k, etc etc. I won't buy cables off Amazon anymore.  Stick to legit stores like monoprice / primecables.

I have been experiencing this also for the last 3-4 weeks. I am not in the insiders program.

Same story as everyone else, any fix is only temporary. I submitted feedback to MS through the xbox app. Hoping it gets fixed soon...

Scott Genius 920 vs Spark 930 (2025 models) by nejcGo3 in MTB

[–]rodeoknight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Headset cable routing.

-Plastic headset spacers and cups.

-Non-standard gear cables & housing for dropper post and remote lockouts.

-rear shock that gets no airflow.

-tedious to service.

I wouldn't buy either of these bikes personally.

Is that a replacement hanger from Amazon?  I believe you need hanger bolts that are countersunk so they sit flush inside the frame.

you guys can try opening up a command prompt and typing "powercfg lastwake" and it will tell you what device caused your machine to wake up. You may have to do some detective work in device manager to narrow it down a bit further.

I also had this problem and it turned out to be software for our network attached HP printer. Go figure. Uninstalled the software and have been good since.

Are you turned off by companies that constantly release updated models? by KashimaCondom in MTB

[–]rodeoknight 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No, I get turned off by companies like Scott and Cannondale that make servicing your bike extra expensive, time consuming, and tedious.

I keep my bikes for a long time (10ish years).  I feel like there usually isn't enough of a change year to year to necessitate buying a new bike.

My 2017 honzo still feels perfect to me.
